What are the Best Jobs for Every Character in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth?

Ichiban Kasuga Best Jobs: Hero, Sujimancer

The best job for Ichiban is his unique Hero job, which is unlocked in Chapter 2. It offers the perfect balance of offense and support.

  • Hero’s Wisdom: Boosts critical hit rate.
  • Hero’s Flair: Boosts defense.
  • Hero’s Healing: Recovers HP.
  • Hero’s Blessing: Revives an ally.
  • Hero’s Encouragement: Boosts attack.

You can also inherit certain skills from Ichiban’s other jobs. I recommend going for the Sujimancer job, which is unlocked in Chapter 4. I use this one for the game’s harder fights and encounters because it allows you to revive all fallen allies and gradually regain HP. These are the best skills to have in this job:

  • Spicy Breath: Inflicts magic damage.
  • Natural High: Grants an ally gradual HP recovery.
  • Essence of Sujimon Supremacy: Launches Suji Bomb.
  • Essence of Sujimon Second Wind: Revives all fallen allies.

Kazuma Kiryu Best Jobs: Dragon of Dojima, Action Star

As soon as you recruit Kazuma in Chapter 3, you get his unique initial job Dragon of Dojima, which is also his best one. I especially like these skills that balance his damage and healing (I’m big on healing, and you should be, too):

  • Essence of Tonfa: Deals extra damage.
  • Essence of Komaki Pupil: Guarantees a critical hit chance.
  • Essence of Pistol: Breaks through an enemy’s guard.
  • Essence of the Dragon God: Damages all enemies.

Kazuma doesn’t have any other exclusive jobs, but you can inherit skills from general jobs. I highly recommend the Action Star job, which you unlock at Charisma Level 4 during the Parasailing Experience for $200. These are the skills I use the most and suggest getting first:

  • Rapid Dance Kick: Initiates a flurry of kicks.
  • Flying Monkey Strike: Initiates a flurry of blows.
  • Relentless Dragon Dance: Doubles your damage.
  • Essence of Improvisation: Deals damage while recovering your HP.

Eric Tomizawa Best Jobs: Cabbie, Pyrodancer

If you recruited Eric during Chapter 3, then be sure to use his Cabbie job. I use Essence of Buckle Up every time I can to inflict more damage on enemies and use other members of my party to punish them. Additionally, I use the other skills in this job for those enemies with elemental weaknesses.

  • Tire Tumbler: Deals damage to multiple enemies in the line.
  • Oil and Toil: Douses enemies with gasoline and burns them.
  • Tire Tornado: Tire Tumbler on fire.
  • Essence of Buckle Up: Inflicts fear, lowering enemy defenses.

Taking into account Eric’s proficiency in fire magic, I strongly recommend picking skills from the Pyrodancer job. You can unlock it at Passion Level 3 for $200 during the Fire Dancing Exhibition.

  • Soul Capture: Drains enemy’s life.
  • Mask of Fertility: Recovers ally’s HP.
  • Fire Breaking: Initiates a torrent of flames.
  • War Cry: Boosts your own attacks and those of your allies.

Chitose Fujinomiya Best Jobs: Heiress, Kunoichi

Be sure to recruit Chitose in Chapter 5 to get her Heriess job. This is perfect for Agility builds. I also love this job because Violino Adagissimo lowers the chance of enemies attacking first or reduces how many times they’ll attack.

  • Epaulement: Deals damage with your weapon’s attributes.
  • Violino Adagissimo: Slows down time and reduces the enemy’s Agility.
  • Aperitifs: Removes debuffs and heals her allies.
  • Essence of Puppy Playtime: Releases three dogs that attack enemies.

Kunoichi is the only other Agility-based general job that’s worth inheriting for Chitose. Unlock it at Intellect Level 5 during Yoga on the Shore for $1,600.

  • Substitution Jutsu: Vanish in a gust of smoke.
  • Thousand Stings Jutsu: Unleashes a swarm of hornets that attack enemies.
  • Scattering of Flowers: Damages enemies in the line.

Koichi Adachi Best Jobs: Detective, Samurai

There’s no better offensive job for Adachi than being a Detective, which unlocks from the start of the game, as soon as you recruit him. These skills will be of great help:

  • Heavy Beatdown: Unleashes a series of ruthless attacks.
  • Breaking Top: Start spinning, dealing damage to chosen enemies.
  • Essence of Cut and Run: Initiates a magic explosion.

One of the best general jobs that synergizes with Detective is Samurai. You can unlock it at Confidence Level 5 during the Trolley Tour for $1,600:

  • Pine, Bamboo, Plum: Deals damage, inflicting Bleed.
  • Cyclone of Iaido: Deals damage to a group of enemies.
  • Shadow Dance: Intensifies bleeding damage.

Yu Nanba Best Jobs: Homeless Guy, Host

Homeless Guy is an initial job for Nanba, who specializes in magical tricks. I think this is also the best alternative to Eric and his skills. Summoning pigeons is hilarious, but again, we have a job that can also inflict elemental damage.

  • Pigeon Storm: Summons a horde of pigeons that attack enemies.
  • Essence of Pyro Prison: Burns multiple enemies.
  • Essence of Big-Ass Bird: Summons a huge bird attacker.

I also suggest you reach Chapter 8 with Nanba to unlock the Host job automatically. It has quite a few useful skills, including my favorite champagne shower for a good amount of magic damage.

  • Rose Stinger: Charm and burn a single target.
  • Ice Spreader: Douse your enemies in melted ice.
  • Essence of Champagne Wave: Douse a group of enemies in champagne, dealing magical damage.

Saeko Mukoda Best Jobs: Barmaid, Idol

You can recruit Saeko in Chapter 8. If you do so, be sure to give her the Barmaid job, which makes her one of the most versatile characters in the game. Focus on these skills:

  • Branding Blow: Deals powerful damage with a curling iron.
  • Jewel Breaker: Guarantees critical hit strike.
  • Essence of Magnum Bottle: Deal damage to the line of enemies.

The only other general job that fits Saeko, in my opinion, is the Idol job. It unlocks by default during Chapter 8, if you recruit Saeko:

  • Playful Splash: Douse enemies in water and apply electricity.
  • Magical Concert: Recovers your and your allies’ HP.
  • Essence of Glowstick Fury: Charms a whole group of enemies.

Seonhee Best Jobs: Assassin, Night Queen

If you recruit Seonhee in Chapter 8, get her Assassin job immediately. As with Jewel Breaker with Saeko, Gatling Bowgun is a fantastic skill I over rely on because it guarantees criticals. I prefer the Assassin Job over Barmaid, though, because we get two abilities that crit. These are the best skills to get:

  • Gatling Bowgun: Guarantees critical hit strike.
  • Essence of Bonebreaker: Executes a series of critical hits.
  • Essence of Wicked Web: Paralyzes enemies.

Night Queen is very similar to the Assassin job, so be sure to inherit its skills to double down. Just like Seonhee’s Assassin job, it unlocks by default in Chapter 8. The instant knockout is essential.

  • Whip Service: Hits enemies with a whip.
  • Luscious Guillotine: Chokes enemies.
  • Essence of Extreme Bondage: Instantly knocks out enemies.

Joongi Han Best Jobs: Hitman, Desperado

The Hitman is the best job for Joongi Han, and is unlocked in Chapter 13. It has a number of highly useful perks, including more instant knockout and critical hit skills.

  • Point Blank: Instantly knocks out enemies.
  • Professional Slash: Guarantees critical hit strike.
  • Poison Shot: Inflicts poison damage.

If you’re looking to add some ranged damage to Joongi’s attacks, then Desperado is a great choice. I found a way to unlock it at Style Level 5 during the Water Gun Shootout for $1,600:

  • Campfire Cook: Recovers your HP.
  • Dynamite Fever: Burns enemies.
  • Essence of High Noon: Instantly knocks out enemies.

Tianyou Zhao Best Jobs: Gangster, Chef

Finally, you can recruit Zhao in Chapter 10 with his default Gangster job. It fits him the best and involves the following abilities:

  • Dragon’s Vortex: Attacks enemies and boosts your defense.
  • Homecooked Dim Sum: Recovers HP of your allies.
  • Essence of Ladder Acrobatics: Instantly knocks out enemies.

Surprisingly, the Chef job fits Zhao the best, although you unlock it in Chapter 8, prior to recruiting him:

  • Vanquishing Pan: Deals extra damage.
  • Essence of Human Grafting: Inflicts bleeding.
  • Well Done: Burns enemies.

That’s it for my list of the best jobs for every character in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. Stay tuned for more LaD: IW tips and tricks articles, including best combo meals and where to get them.
