Dead Island 2: How to Claim Pulp and Gold Weapons Packs

Wondering where to find your bonus content for Dead Island 2? This is how to claim both the Pulp Weapons and Gold Weapons packs.

The bonus content for those who purchased anything other than the Dead Island 2 standard edition includes costumes, as well as the Pulp Weapons Pack and the Gold Weapons Pack. However, those bonus items aren’t immediately available to you when landing in Hell-A. Here’s how to claim the Pulp and Gold Weapons packs.

Both weapons packs can only be found at the Trader Dougie, who you’ll meet at the Serling Hotel in Ocean Avenue. This location doesn’t become available until three-fourths into the main quest line, so expect to become acquainted with most other weapons before the bonus content is accessible.

After you’ve made it to the hotel, watched the cutscene, and woken up with the Plumbing The Depths main quest waiting for you, head over to the lobby. Turn left to where the quest is guiding you, and then walk right past the marker until you find the hotel bar. Dougie is standing behind the bar and will have all of the weapons available at no cost.

The Pulp Weapons Pack comes with the Eye Opener and Homewrecker Weapons, which fall into the Headhunter and Bulldozer profiles, respectively. They’ll match your player level and likely be a Superior rarity by the time you make it that far into the story.

Both weapons are only available in the Gold Edition, which is the most expensive offering. Those with the Deluxe Edition will miss out on these as well as the expansion pass.

The Gold Weapons Pack includes the Abuela’s Ashes and One-Hit Wonder (previously marketed as Sam B’s Pistol) weapons. The former is a mace that’s part of the Maiming profile, while the latter is a pistol that’s part of the Tactical profile. Just like the weapons from the other weapon pack, they’ll match your player level and should be seen as a powerhouse Superior rarity.

Contrary to the name of the pack, these are not exclusive to the Gold Edition and do come along with the cheaper Deluxe Edition, as well. If you want both weapon packs outlined in this guide, you’ll need to buy the most expensive version though.

That covers how to claim the Pulp Weapons Pack and the Gold Weapons Pack in Dead Island 2. For all of your other burning questions on how to survive the streets of Hell-A, such as how to unlock fast travel, check out our Dead Island 2 guide hub.
