Exploration plays a major part in Deliver Us Mars, especially when the characters finally make their way to the Red Planet. Before they leave, however, the player will need to eavesdrop on a secret meeting between Maria and some of the highest-ranking officers of WSA, the game’s version of NASA. Here’s how to eavesdrop on Maria’s meeting, which also serves as a bit of a tutorial for using AYLA.
How to Eavesdrop on Maria’s Meeting in Deliver Us Mars
After taking a ride in the back of Ryan’s truck in Chapter 1: Moonbear, you’ll be dropped off outside WSA headquarters. Head inside and follow the path through the museum. You can take a few minutes to read about the WSA’s history or just run right through it.

When you make it to the end of the exhibit, you’ll need to control AYLA by hitting the Y or Triangle button on your controller and then fly up to the drone receiver node to the left of the locked door. Hit the X or Square button on your controller when looking at the node to unlock the door. When you do, you’ll see a cutscene where Kathy runs into Sarah.

Follow Sarah for a quick walk-and-talk section and you’ll eventually see another cutscene where Sarah, Ryan, and Claire head into the secret meeting without you. Once the scene is over, you’ll need to find a way to hear what’s going on inside Maria’s office.

Head down the hall and take a right which leads to a dead end with some boxes. Jump onto them and cut the metal grate midway up the wall with your laser cutter. Once cut, crouch through the now-open hole in the wall and proceed into the next room.

Run down the stairs and then cut your way through the debris blocking your path. Interact with the control panel in the center of the room to raise a section of the floor.

Interact with the control panel that’s underneath the hanging platform next to the section of floor you just raised, then quickly climb onto it and jump onto the platform as it moves across the room. Once you’ve made it onto the platform and it stops. Jump onto the tube in the center of the room.

Use your laser cutter to open the vent and then switch to controlling AYLA and enter the hole. Follow the vent until you’ve got a good view of the meeting happening in Maria’s office. Listen in while the meeting happens until the group inside walks to the other room.

Continue along the vent and when you reach the end, you’ll see a cutscene where Kathy bursts into the meeting and joins the expedition to Mars.
