How to Use the Voodoo Doll in Demonologist

The straw Voodoo Doll is found randomly on the map regardless of which you’re playing. Unlike real life Voodoo Dolls where you’ve got to stick pins in yourself, this one’s primed and ready with needles and screws, including one over its little heart. You’ll need an open slot to equip it, but you’ll also want to be prepared before you use it.

Using the Voodoo Doll is a high risk. It directly inflicts different levels of pain on the ghost allowing you to find it as it reacts to the pain.

When used by pressing the LMB while the doll is selected, a random nail gets pushed in. You don’t want it to push in the pin over the heart, as it will immediately start a hunt. Unfortunately you have no control over which pin it pushes in, it’s random.

If you want to use the Voodoo Doll, you’ll want to plan ahead. Come prepared with a hiding spot and a Crucifix to increase your odds of survival. Because of the high risk, the Voodoo Doll should be used as a last resort to “pin” down the ghost’s location.

That’s how to use the Voodoo Doll in Demonologist. If you’re at the end of your rope when it comes to finding the ghost, this can be a valuable tool. It does come with a high risk, however. For more help using Demonologist tools, check out our other guides.
