Disney Dreamlight Valley provides you with a house, and like most farming games, you have to fix it up as you play. One of the things that makes the game endless fun is the customization options, and thankfully that includes your house’s appearance. You will have to fully upgrade your house to be able to change exterior paints and apply the new premium skins. Here’s how to change your house’s exterior appearance.
How to Change Your House’s Exterior Appearance
Actually changing your exterior decor is easy. Follow these steps:
- Go to the Furniture menu in your inventory.
- Close the Furniture panel (Respective button shown in the bottom left corner).
- Select your house from the environment.
- Select Replace (Respective button shown in the bottom right corner).
- Select the replacement appearance of your choosing.
House Exterior Paint Options
Once you have fully upgraded your house, you automatically gain access to five house paint options:
- Green Gablefront House
- Pink Gablefront House
- Purple Gablefront House
- Blue Gablefront House
- Orange Gablefront House
It does not cost any Star Coin to apply the replacement paint, so feel free to change it up whenever you’d like.
Access the Premium Shop Menu for More Options
The Festival of Friendship update, released on February 16, 2023, introduced the Premium Shop to the game. The premium shop allows you to purchase house skins that will fully alter the exterior appearance of your home. Here’s how to access it.
- Go to your menu.
- Tab over to the shop.
- View all available premium items in the item shop.
You can purchase Moonstone for premium items in the same menu, or find 50 Moonstone a day in a daily chest spawned somewhere in your valley.
Premium House Skins
Gameloft has introduced two premium house skins to the Premium Shop so far, the Palace and the Purple Cottage.
The Palace cost 3,750 Moonstone and the Purple Cottage cost 3,000 Moonstone. It will be interesting to see what other premium house designs Gameloft surprises us with, we hope to see more price variations in the future.
That’s all we have for changing your house’s exterior appearance. If you found this guide helpful, take a look at some of our other Disney Dreamlight Valley guides.
