The Starbird minion is an adorable new minion added with Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker, and its design is based on an important character in the story named Meteion. If you’re here, you want to know how to get it.
Unfortunately, the Starbird minion can be a bit difficult to get, so here’s everything you need to know. Warning: there’s a bit of a grind involved.
How to Get the Starbird Minion in Final Fantasy XIV
There’s only one way to get the Starboard Minion in FFXIV, and unfortunately, it can’t be purchased from the market board as it’s restricted from sale.
The singular way to get it is as loot drop in the final dungeon of the Endwalker, titled “The Dead Ends.” You’ll unlock the dungeon at Level 90, once you’ve completed the second to last quest “You’re Not Alone.”
The chance of the Starbird Minion dropping is low, and even worse is that other players can cast their lot to get it as well. This means that you’ll likely need to play The Dead Ends multiple times in order to get the chance.
If you want to bump up your chances of finding the Starbird minion, your best bet is to play through the dungeon with a Trust of NPC allies, so you can claim all of the loot. If you have three friends that will let you claim the Starbird when it drops, you can also go that route.
