FFXIV: How to Apply Furniture Glamours

Glamours aren’t just for your equipment anymore in Final Fantasy XIV. Furniture Glamours have been added to FFXIV with patch 6.4 to bring a whole new angle to decorating your house. It’s not unlocked by default, though. Let’s go into how to unlock and apply Furniture Glamours with the latest patch.

How to Unlock Furniture Glamours in FFXIV

Furniture Glamours are unlocked by making progress on your Island Sanctuary. I’m at Sanctuary Rank 10, and these glamours were available right as Patch 6.4 released for me.

To get Furniture Glamours, talk to Horrendous Hoarder on your Island Sanctuary in the Cozy Cabin. You can find glamour options available for purchase using either Islander’s or Seafarer’s Cowries, and each one has different glamours available.

How to Apply Furniture Glamours in FFXIV

Applying Furniture Glamours on your Island Sanctuary is similar to placing furniture in FFXIV housing.

Select “Manage Furnishings” on your Islekeep’s Index. Then, select “Place Furnishing Glamours.” Your inventory will open, and from there you select the Furnishing Glamour you want to use and choose “Place Glamour.”

It’s important to note that you’re limited to placing these glamours within a certain range of the large buildings on your island.

You can move and rotate the glamour like you would with furniture in a house or apartment. I decided to grab the Garden Creek, and I chose to place it near the Cozy Cabin in hopes that my Mammets could be calmed by the sound of flowing water.

If you’re unhappy with the glamour, they’re easy to remove. Go back into “Manage Furnishings,” select the glamour, and choose “Remove Selected Object” from the three options at the bottom of your screen.

From there, you can continue to customize your Island Sanctuary. As you progress on your island, you’ll unlock more placement slots for Furniture Glamours.
