How to Get the Vicarious Vacationer Minion in FFXIV

Even if you haven’t spent time upgrading your Island Sanctuary, it won’t take long to get the resources you need for this minion.

Gather Seafarer’s Cowries

You don’t need a specific Island Sanctuary Rank to get the Vicarious Vacationer Minion. Instead, you need 4000 Seafarer’s Cowries. The easiest way to get this amount is setting up a Workshop and leaving it to run for a couple days, giving you a decent sum of Cowries when you return to review the Workshop. However, you gather the materials for the Workshop from the Island, so make sure you have enough to keep it running before you leave to pursue other adventures in the meantime.

Speak with the Horrendous Hoarder

Once you have your Seafarer’s Cowries, go to your cabin and talk to the Horrendous Hoarder Mammet. Purchase the Vicarious Vacationer and add it to your collection of minions. You can even place it on the Island to hang out with your other minions, putting its vacation attire to use. Additionally, you’ll find other minions available for purchase along with items for glamours or furniture you can use to make your Island Sanctuary truly your own.
