How to Customize Pip-Boy in Fallout 76

Special events in Fallout 76, like the Spring Cleaning Challenge, often require you to change your Pip-Boy skin and complete challenges. While the event provides you with the free Pip-Boy skin you need, it doesn’t tell you how to apply it.

Here’s how to change Pip-Boy Skin in Fallout 76:

  1. Interact with an Armor Workbench
  2. Highlight the Pip-Boy 2000 in the Modify list
  3. Select the Modify option
  4. Highlight the Pip-Boy in the Mod Slot list
  5. Select the Modify option again
  6. Select a Pip-Boy Skin you want to craft
  7. The game will automatically apply your newly crafted Pip-Boy skin

However, there are a few essential aspects of customizing your Pip-Boy in Fallout 76 that you should be aware of:

  1. You’ll need to step out of your Power Armor chassis to interact with the specific function of the Armor workbench.
  2. When interacting with your Armor Workbench, choose the Modify / Repair option. Otherwise, your Pip-Boy won’t show up on the list.
  3. Using the above steps on your Armor workbench, you’ll need 2 Leads to craft a Pip-Boy Skin.
  4. If you have multiple Pip-Boy skins, the current one equipped will be destroyed when you follow the above steps to change your Pip-Skin to another one. You won’t lose the skin but must recraft it for 2 Lead if you want to equip it again.
