If you want to make Medicine for your Pals, you need to be able to have a supply of Horns. They’re an ingredient for the Medicines that you’ll need most often, such as those that treat Fractures. So, here’s how to get and use Horns in Palworld to make keep your Pals healthy.

How to Get Horns in Palworld and How to Use Them

While Horns can be purchased from merchants, it’s much easier, faster, and more cost effective to farm them from Pals. That said, no one could blame you for going and buying them from a merchant at a settlement since there aren’t a ton of uses for money in Palworld yet.

How to Get Horns

Aside from purchasing Horns from merchants, you can get them by killing or butchering Pals that have Horns. Pals that drop Horns include:

  • Arsox
  • Caprity
  • Eikthyrdeer
  • Eikthyrdeer Terra
  • Fenglope
  • Incineram
  • Incineram Noct
  • Reindrix
  • Univolt

I prefer to farm Eikthyrdeer for Horns. They drop Leather as well, aren’t too tough to fight early on, and you find them close to every Spawn point. Overall, they’re my top choice if I need to farm for Horns. The map I included below shows their habitat during daytime, but at nighttime, it’s the same.

How to Use Horns in Palworld

Then, once you unlock the Medieval Medicine Workbench at Technology Level 12, you use Horns to craft the following medical recipes on it:

  • Low Grade Medical Supplies
  • Medical Supplies
  • High Grade Medical Supplies
  • Suspicious Juice
  • Strange Juice

Each recipe has a different purpose, so it’s better to stockpile ingredients and make Medicines as needed instead of making a bunch of each type and storing it. Especially since you might end up using one type often, and then never using a different type.

And that covers how to get and use Horns in Palworld. They’re just one of many resources that you’ll find yourself needing throughout the game. But the droprate seems decent, so gathering them won’t be too tough. From here, check out our guide hub for more topics like the best planting Pals for farming or how to get and use Flour.
