Special Anime Defense: How to Get Secret Units

Buy Secret Units With Gems

The grindiest way to get secret units in Special Anime Defense is to purchase them at the Banner shop using gems. Note that each unit will cost you 50 gems, and the chance to get a secret unit is only 0.01%. So if you want to use this method, then be sure to hoard as many gems as you possibly can.

Purchase Gems with Robux

There are a few ways how you can get gems in Special Anime Defense, but the easiest one is purchasing them with Robux at the in-game shop. Here’s how much they’ll cost you:

  • Mini Pack: 50 gems = 50 Robux
  • Small Pack: 250 gems = 220 Robux
  • Medium Pack: 475 gems = 375 Robux
  • Large Pack: 975 gems = 600 Robux
  • Huge Pack: 2000 gems = 999 Robux

Complete Dailies for Gems

If you don’t want to spend a dime on gems, then the second best way to get them is to complete your daily quests, story quests, or infinite challenges. All of these are available in the “Story” menu on the home screen. Note that you can do as many as three or four daily quests, where each one will give between 100-300 gems. So be sure to complete these every day and try your luck at the secret units banner.

Use Codes to Get Free Gems

Lastly, the least challenging way to get more gems is to use the following codes that I list here, although I must warn you that they’re temporary and only one-time events:

  • Sorry!: 1,500 Gems
  • 12K: 1,000 Gems
  • 10kfavs: 1,000 Gems
  • 8klikes: 1,000 Gems
  • 50KDiscord!: 1,000 Gems
  • RELEASE: 500 Gems

Trade for Secret Units

One of the most popular ways of obtaining rare and secret units in Special Anime Defense is to trade them for other characters. You can do this via the Trade lobby, which is accessible in the “Trade” menu. Here, you can sell units to other players for gems and purchase characters and other items from them. Trading can be extremely lucrative, especially if you have rare units to sell, but note that secret units can be very, very expensive.

Use Codes to Get Secret Units

As the final resort of getting secret units, you can try your luck at the Special Anime Defense discord channel. From time to time, the development team will share codes for secret units. You can use them in the “Codes” menu and instantly unlock one random secret unit. But if you want to make sure that you actually get such a code, I recommend hanging at the Discord channel as much as you can, checking regularly for some new surprise rewards.
