After a long time, a glimpse of v50 update of Lethal Company is upon us. Zeekerss has decided to release a public beta of the game v50 on Steam, and everyone can try it out for free! Here’s how you can install and play the Lethal Company v50 Public Beta.
How to Install Lethal Company v50 Public Beta on Steam
When you open your Steam Client, head out to your Library. Right-click on the installed Lethal Company, and go to Properties.
In this window, go to the “Betas” section on the left side of the window. In this section, you will find the “Beta Participation” on the right.
From the drop-down menu, you can select “public_beta – For testing new versions”. After you close this dialogue window, your Steam Client will commence the download of the beta client. Once it’s done, you will be able to see Lethal Company [public_beta] in your Steam Library.
This means that you won’t be able to access the current live version of the game until you switch back the Beta participation to “None.” If you are trying to play the new v50 content with your friends, you need to have them all join the Lethal Company public beta.
After you launch Lethal Company the way you usually would, you’ll see a new intro screen and you will enter the main menu as usual. Please note that your old save files from the live version will not function in the public beta and that you need to start a new one.

I’ve been playing around the v50 for hours and hours, and I found so much new content you can enjoy. You will be able to experience the following new content in v50:
- Three new moons
- Two new monsters
- One new suit
- Two new items
