Do want to differentiate your Pals from each other or form a closer bond with them using another name than they’ve been given? Although Pals have a default creature name, you can give them a nickname! Here, I’ll tell you how to rename Pals in Palworld. 

Can You Change a Pal’s Default Name in Palworld?

With over 100 pals to collect, you might want to give each one a unique name. So can you change a Pal’s name in Palworld? Yes!

In my case, I may have collected 20 too many Lamballs. They’re just so darn cute, but who’s who? I wanted to give each their own name, so I started brainstorming ideas. If you want to rename your Pal at the beginning of Palworld and can’t, don’t worry. 

You unlock the ability to rename your Pals after they level up. Make sure your Pals do tasks and fight by your side to gain EXP. This can take a few levels, so be p patient and check back every so often to see if the option is available. 

How to Rename Pals: Step-by-Step

Once your Pals have leveled up, all you have to do is go into the Party Menu. Select the Pal you want to rename, and click on their default name. An option to edit their name appears. Now you can rename your Pal! It’s just: Party Menu -> Select Pal -> Click on Name -> Edit.

How Many Times Can You Change a Pal’s Name?

If you decide to change their name again, you can. Just go through the same process again. You can change your Pals names as many times as you want if you think of a better name later on. You can also use the same name on multiple Pals if you want. However, each Lamball deserves its own name!
