Arcanas, which some Vampire Survivors players refer to as tarot cards, are one of many ways you can power up your character and gain additional powers during your run. In this article, I’ll show you how to unlock an important Arcana XX – Silent Old Sanctuary in Vampire Survivors.

How to Get Arcana XX – Silent Old Sanctuary in Vampire Survivors

You can get the Arcana XX – Silent Old Sanctuary in Vampire Survivors by surviving until 31:00 in the stage called Dairy Plant. This unlock condition may seem impossible at first because the evil Red Death (Reaper) shows up at 30:00 to instantly kill you. There are ways to circumvent this (and Vampire Survivors wouldn’t be Vampire Survivors otherwise), of course, and you definitely can survive for 31 minutes on Dairy Plant without much hassle.

How to Survive for 31 Minutes in Vampire Survivors

First things first, I’d turn on the Hurry mode. This makes the timer go twice as fast, meaning you need to dance with the Reaper for just 30 seconds of real-life time. If you don’t have the Hurry mode on, it’s not a problem. However, make sure to get the Sorceress Tears from Gallo Tower (the next stage) if you can.

Then, we should talk about your character choice. Krochi (if you have him) is probably the best option for this endeavor if you do not have some overpowered characters because he’s got built-in revivals. Naturally, I’d suggest that you buy all of the PowerUps from the main menu. If you can’t afford them all, I’d say that the Revival is the most useful of them all for this unlock. Revivals are a huge failsafe because they not only give you another chance to extend your run but they provide a short-term invulnerability shortly after your revival.

Finally, your weapon loadout. Focus on these items (I’ll provide an explanation of why):

• Clock Lancet – This is the key component to keep the Red Death from massacring you on the spot. Clock Lancet fires icy laser beams clockwise and freezes all enemies that are touched by it. In a sense, you will be running around Red Death to maintain the freeze as long as possible (or, in the best case, for the entire minute). If you upgrade the Clock Lancet, you have a chance to legitimately defeat the Red Death.
• Laurel – This is a great failsafe to have, as it can protect you for a short while from incoming damage. If you upgrade Laurel, you basically won’t be able to die.
• Tiragisu – Provides you with two additional revives. What’s there not to like?

It’s also important to note that beating the Red Death automatically sets the clock to 31:00.

What Does Arcana XX – Silent Old Sanctuary Do in Vampire Survivors?

Arcana XX – Silent Old Sanctuary gifts you +3 Rerolls, +3 Banishes, and +3 Skips. But that’s not all! For each active weapon slot that you leave empty, your current character gains the following bonuses:

• +20% Might
• -8% Cooldown

The maximum bonus you can get is +100% Might and -40% Cooldown, which will be crucial for a later unlock. All in all, it’s a powerful Arcana if you are trying to play a single-weapon run, especially with Mindbender on, that prevents you from accidentally grabbing a new weapon, resulting in a loss of bonus.
