Introducing Friendly Feedback

A second pair of eyes never hurts. Unless, of course, you took them from someone. We don't recommend that. Invite a friend to look over your post instead!

“What would you do if I sang out of tune?” Oops, wrong part of the song!

I get by with a little help from my friends! And so can you! Everyone needs a little help sometimes. At GameSkinny, we work hard to make sure our editorial team is here to help you write your best post yet, but we understand that sometimes you want someone else to look at your writing first.

That’s why today we’re introducing Friendly Feedback – now you can invite friends, family, coworkers, or, well… anyone really to review your post and offer feedback before you publish it. With Revision History, you can see and track any changes between versions. And with Editorial Feedback, you can have a conversation between anyone editing your post about why they made the changes they made or what suggestions they might have for improvement. All of these together creates a powerful tool for you to hone the quality of your writing.

How do you get started?

Head to your Feedback tab on any saved post (or write a new post, save it, then head to the Feedback tab). Click on the “Ask a friend for feedback” button.

Here you can add any existing GameSkinny member, just by searching for their GameSkinny user name. Want to invite someone else? You can invite them by email instead. You can write a quick message to go with your invitation: maybe you want specific feedback or maybe you want to give some background for the post you’ve written.

Click “Send request” to send out your invitations and bask in the light of friendly feedback!
