Diablo 4 Heading to Game Pass

The February 15 special episode of the Official Xbox Podcast has fans rejoicing. Now that the tech giant owns Activision Blizzard, new titles from those IPs will premiere on Game Pass for Xbox and PC.

D4 is the first announced game to be included in the subscription service. Starting March 28, all 34 million users will be able to face down Lilith and her minions. Division Executive Phil Spencer explained that regulatory challenges are the reason for the delay in new Game Pass titles from ABK.

To get Diablo 4 on Game Pass, there are a few more steps required than usual. For PC players, you’ll still need to install Battle.net and have an account to play. The installation is prompted through the Xbox App when downloading D4. If you don’t have a Battle.net account, you can make one at this time.

Blizzard’s hit action RPG Diablo 4 has been a highly asked-for title on Microsoft’s Game Pass service. Featuring a well-written main story with live-service seasons, it was nominated for Best Multiplayer Game at the 2024 The Game Awards.

Seasons so far have included questlines on Vampires and mechanical constructs. New items, mechanics, and enemies make their home in the seasonal world. On top of that, seasonal events like the Midwinter Blight showcase the team’s dedication to providing players with new content.

No other titles were mentioned in the Game Pass portion of the podcast, but Xbox President Sarah Bond noted that both new releases and old favorites will make appearances. A commitment to keeping all Xbox titles as Day 1 releases on PC and console was reiterated.

So yes, Diablo 4 will be on Game Pass for console and PC starting March 28, 2024. If you’re interested in signing up for Game Pass, head to the Xbox website to join GP. For more on the RPG, check out our Diablo 4 guides hub.
