How to Unlock the Glider and Net Launcher in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga

While exploring the open hubs of The Skywalker Saga, you may be stumped when you come across obstacles that ask for the Scavenger Class, only to be met with another roadblock. Upon switching to a Scavenger, you find these obstacles are still incapable of being interacted with.

That’s because the Scavenger’s tools, and consequently the Glider and Net Launcher, are unlocked through a specific story level. You’ll automatically unlock the Glider, Net Launcher, and Breaker Blaster after completing The Chewbacca Defense mission. This mission is found in Ewok Village, near the end of Episode VI.

At the beginning of The Chewbacca Defense, you’ll come across an impenetrable wall, with the game leading you to a nearby crafting bench. Here, you’ll craft the Breaker Blaster, which can now blast through walls plastered with the Scavenger icon.

Further in this level, you’ll take out a crew of Stormtroopers at a camp. Afterward, you’ll take an elevator that leads to platforms lining the upper elevation of a tree. This is where you’ll get the Net Launcher

You can use the Net Launcher to plant netting on the specified point ahead, letting you climb over to the next portion of the level. The Net Launcher will come in handy at various other points in the game, too.

Immediately after climbing the obstacle that introduced you to the Net Launcher, you’ll notice a netting point that is blocked off by a stack of junk. Push the junk off of the platform, then use the Net Launcher to climb the obstacle sitting in front of you.

After reaching this next point of elevation, you’ll see a faint blue light emanating from the edge of the platform, directing you to a tree across from you. You won’t make this jump without the Glider, which the game forces you to craft at a bench right beside the ledge.

All three of the Scavenger’s tools are impossible to miss. The story introduces you to them and forces you to use them during Episode VI’s The Chewbacca Defense mission. After you unlock the Glider and Net Launcher, you can tackle all of the previously inaccessible Scavenger obstacles.
