How to Instantly Complete or Skip Puzzles in The Talos Principle 2

You can skip or instantly complete puzzles in The Talos Principle 2 by spending Prometheus Sparks on Prometheus Terminals. The terminals themselves appear as circular panels on the wall next to the barrier of a puzzle room. If you interact with one, you’re asked if you wish to spend tokens, which is another term for Prometheus Sparks.

How to Get Prometheus Sparks

The Talos Principle 2 Prometheus Sparks appear as bright orange orbs, and there are only a select few of them scattered in each level. Here’s a quick summary:

  • Some Prometheus Sparks are simply found in specific spots in a zone. Try to keep your eyes peeled since they can be anywhere, even on top of ledges.
  • Others are rewarded if you complete Monument-type puzzles. For instance, if you complete the Monument Sprite in Desolate Island, you’ll receive a spark token for your efforts.

When Should You Spend Prometheus Sparks to Skip Puzzles

Since the game has a lot of puzzles and only a select few tokens, you might be wondering when you should spend them. In my opinion, I feel that it’s better to hold off until you’re almost at the end of the campaign. I can tell you that you only need to complete eight puzzles of any type to clear a zone. As such, you could do a couple of lost puzzles in case the numbered puzzles are giving you a problem.

All in all, that means you won’t need to use up a spark token early on. Instead, if you hold on to your tokens until much later, you can ensure that you have a lot remaining. I think this is a great idea once you’ve finally encountered several puzzles that leave you stumped, or if you’re going for 100% completion.

That’s it: that’s everything you need to know about how to skip or instantly complete puzzles in The Talos Principle 2.
