Tower of Fantasy: Full Alyss Abilities List

Learn about every ability Alyss has when you use her in Tower of Fantasy with the help of this guide.

Alyss is one of the most powerful Frost weapons in Tower of Fantasy and can take even a sub-par team to another level. Most of that is thanks to her versatile kit and abilities list.

Alyss’ abilities are more than just showy: they’re downright deadly. Her standard combos, coupled with her Skill and Discharge, make her a must for any Frost-specific team.

Her first two passive abilities, Ice Shell and Frost Resonance, are pretty standard for limited banner Weapons.

  • Ice Shell freezes enemies on the attack immediately following the Weapon reaching full charge.
  • Frost Resonance increases Frost Attack by 15% and resistance by 25%, provided you have at least two Frost Weapons equipped.

Combine these passives with the below moves, and Alyss is an absolute beast.

Alyss Unyielding Wing Normal Attacks

You have access to five normal attacks with Alyss, and using them optimally is critical for the best possible DPS. Try to string these combos together or cancel them into her Skill or another Discharge for even more damage. You can end the combo by holding Attack and triggering Dancing Flash.

Swan Arc: Five Grounded Regular Attacks

Alyss’ default combo, press attack five times without jumping. Each attack does more than 100% of her ATK value, plus a healthy bonus. The percentage and flat bonus increase significantly with successive attacks, so this move set alone can do wonders.

Sweeping Combo: Jump, then Five Regular Attacks

If you’re able to sneak a jump into your combo string, you can start the Sweeping Combo. It begins at significantly less than 100% damage before dipping further with the second swing, then starting to increase until the final strike, which is over 300% of your total ATK. Each kick also has a flat bonus, and the last one causes a knockdown. Note that you can’t go into Dancing Flash; only the spinning Waltz move.

Dancing Flash: Attack, then Hold Attack

Alyss’ bread and butter combo ender, Dancing Flash, not only deals more than 300% damage over five strikes but also makes you invulnerable if used within four seconds of using a Skill or entering Latent State. You can also continue attacking once Dancing Flash ends, meaning you can go from Swan Arc to Dancing Flash and back again as many times as necessary. The last hit suspends its target for a 95% attack.

Sweeping Dive: Jump, then Hold Attack

A simple dive-kick that deals 95 ATK plus a flat bonus, you can use Sweeping Dive to attack from the air and from a great height without taking fall damage.

Waltz: Hold Attack

Alyss spins on one leg with her other leg extended horizontally, slashing everything nearby, dealing more than 100% ATK plus a flat bonus for as long as you continue spinning. Spinning slowly drains your Stamina, and the attack ends with a final kick before your Stamina begins to refill.

Alyss Dodge Abilities in Tower of Fantasy

Every Weapon has a couple of Dodge abilities, and Alyss is no exception.

Dance Form: Dodge, then Attack Three Times

This combo suspends the target, if able, then deals almost 600% total damage across a flurry of fast kicks, ending in a Street Fighter Spiral Arrow-style lunging kick. Depending on what the situation calls for, you can go straight into another combo string once this one ends.

Latent Skate Hold Dodge or Dodge and Hold Attack

Alyss transforms into a dragonfly and moves at 150% of her normal speed while flying. You’ll use up your Stamina quickly in dragonfly form, but you fly in a straight line for as long as you have gauge to do so, and when you come out of the transformation, you deal more than 300% ATK and freeze nearby enemies for two seconds.

Alyss Skill: Chilling Field

When you press the Skill button, Chilling Field pulls all enemies closer together and deals more than 850% damage across multiple hits while also strongly suspending them. The Field itself also appears in a large radius for 30 seconds.

Whenever you use a Discharge ability within the Field, you’ll deal an additional 125% Hoarfrost damage while slowing the targets. Every 12 times you activate the Unyielding Wing hit effects, Spacial Slice activates, filling the Field with blades that deal around 165% ATK damage to any target inside for 25 seconds.

Alyss Discharge: Starry Night

Alyss’ Discharge has her jump into the air and float for a few seconds before slamming down, launching everything in a close radius, dealing more than 550% ATK damage, removing all debuffs, and making her invincible for 1.5 seconds.

Alyss Advancement Abiliites

Like every character in any gacha game, Alyss gets better the higher her star rating is. She’s certainly good at A0 (zero stars) but is almost unfairly better at both A1 and then A3. If you have the Red Nuceli and Dark Crystals to pull for her, getting to either of those breakpoints should be goals to shoot for.

1-Star Alyss

  • A second version of Alyss appears and uses a random Discharge on the Field whenever you use another Frost-element skill on top of the damage you’re already doing. This also counts as a player using it, but the damage is reduced to 70%.

2-Star Alyss

  • Alyss’ Unyielding Wing Weapon’s ATK growth increases by 16%.

3-Star Alyss

  • In addition to her 1-star ability, you now get Alyss’s Support every time you use her Starry Night Discharge, and both Starry Night and Hoarfrost damage increases by 10% (up to 30% at three stacks) for 12 seconds

4-Star Alyss

  • The Unyielding Wing Weapon’s ATK growth increases by 32%.

5-Star Alyss

  • Both normal attacks and Spatial Slice attack damage increases by 35%, while allowing you to take lethal damage once and making you immune for a short time to allow you to recover. The cooldown on the death save is 60 seconds.

6-Star Alyss

  • Increase all Frost damage when receiving Alyss’s Support by 12% when Support reaches three stacks.

With that full abilities list, that’s what you can expect from Alyss if you pull for her in Tower of Fantasy. She immediately strengthens any Frost team and is an easy replacement for either Meryl or Tsubasa, depending on your preference. If you have Saki, Frigg, or Lin, Alyss is an excellent pairing there, too. For more guides and all things Tower of Fantasy, check out our guides hub.
