How to Get Sound of a Flute for Great Fairy Kaysa in TotK

As with the remaining Great Fairy side quests, you’ll first need to unlock Tera’s Fountain. Only then will the other objectives become available.

If you do meet the requirements, then it’s time to find the Flutist or the Sound of a Flute for Great Fairy Kaysa in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. To give you a general idea, I’ve included a map below showing where your journey will take you:

Outskirt Stable

Make your way to Outskirt Stable, which is just southwest of Hyrule. The closest fast travel point is Tsutsu-um Shrine, and the coordinates are: -1399, -1267, 0032. Unfortunately, because the group is missing their Flutist, Pyper, you’ll be asked to head further south.

Pyper: The Flute Player’s Plan

I found Pyper in Highland Stable, all the way to the south in the Faron region. The closest fast travel point is Utsushok Shrine, with these coordinates: 0530, -3429, 0047.

Once you’ve arrived, check one of the trees along the northern edge of the stable, close to the well. Climb up and talk to Pyper. He says that he needs 10 Sunset Fireflies for the task at hand.

Sunset Fireflies can only be seen at night (i.e., from 7:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m.). They can be found in Finra Woods and Pagos Woods, which are directly north of Highland Stable. The coordinates are: 0638, -3059, 0006. Additionally, a traveling merchant named Beedle tends to sell a few. Likewise, you can learn about other locations in our Sunset Fireflies guide.

After collecting 10 Sunset Fireflies, give them to Pyper. He wants you to bring his crush, Haite, to his spot by the tree during the evening. Haite is in Highland Stable. But, if it’s almost morning, she’ll be asleep. You’ll need to pass the time via an inn, bed, or campfire until it’s evening.

If you manage to get Haite to follow you, a short cutscene will play. This completes the objective, which means you’ll get the Sound of a Flute for Great Fairy Kaysa in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Fixing Breezer and Meeting Great Fairy Kaysa

It’s time to head back to Outskirt Stable. Sadly, Breezer has broken down once more. To fix the wagon, you’ll want to take the large stone plate nearby and attach two additional Big Wheels to it. Then, place the wagon and a Steering Stick on the top surface.

You’ll then be able to drive up the rocky crag to reach the fountain. Do note that you have to drive along the side closer to the stable, as the opposite section is still very steep. I did mess up when I did this part, but I was able to recover by using Ultrahand to reposition the makeshift ATV.

Once the cutscene ends, you’ll unlock Great Fairy Kaysa in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. She’ll give you access to another tier of armor upgrades. Don’t forget to unlock the other Great Fairies in the game, too. We discuss these objectives in our guides for Great Fairy Mija and Great Fairy Cotera. Likewise, you can learn other mechanics about this massive game in our Zelda: TotK guides hub.
