Like the last Moogle Treasure Trove event, this one offers an item Final Fantasy XIV players have not been able to get in years: The Inferno Jacket. It didn’t take long for the community to number crunch the most efficient way to farm Irregular Tomestones of Lore, and you can do it too provided you’re above level 50.

This Moogle Treasure Trove features one particular reward you’ll want to pick up at least one set of after farming 100 for the Inferno Jacket, and that is the Ostensibly Special Timeworn Map.

30 Irregular Tomestones of Lore nets you two Ostensibly Special Timeworn Maps. What makes them so special? They are level 80 treasure maps that guarantee a portal. You want these maps whether you know it or not, and should grab at least one set of two if you can for farming later.

FFXIV Irregular Tomestones of Lore Farm

Those who have played FFXIV during one of these events before know how arduous it can be to farm them depending on the content that grants Irregular Tomestones over the event period. This time, though? It’s probably faster than it’s been in years.

Above all the other content granting Irregular Tomestones of Lore, The Binding Coil of Bahamut – Turn 2 is the fastest track to farming up for the Inferno Jacket and whatever else you might want from this event. Turn 2 is very easy.

The Binding Coil of Bahamut – Turn 2 is unlocked by completing the level 50 quest Primal Awakening. Primal Awakening starts at the Waking Sands, once you’ve cleared the Hard versions of Ifrit, Garuda, and Titan.

Each Turn 2 clear grants you three Irregular Tomestones of Lore, and should only take two to three minutes to complete each run. The time to clear will vary based on party composition, of course. You cannot farm Irregular Tomestones of Lore unsynced.

Blue Mages can farm The Binding Coil of Bahamut – Turn 2 even faster, but they are limited to putting together parties on Party Finder. Some report having farmed 100 tomestones in 45 minutes.

If you’re not a Blue Mage with appropriate farm spells and you just want to get it done, you can just queue for The Binding Coil of Bahamut in the Duty Finder and be matched with a party.

If you have not cleared Turn 1 and have a class to level 80, you can do it unsynced on your own in just a few minutes to unlock Turn 2 to get your actual Irregular Tomestones of Lore farm on. Get out there and make the most of this Moogle Treasure Trove!
