Spectral Cannon

This semi-auto beam weapon is an excellent choice for tracking and shooting ghosts that use Spirit and Shatterproof abilities. The fire rate on this thing is great, and it can easily deal with a whole group of ghosts. But you will also need the Quick Reload perk since you can’t afford to slow down when the hunt gets messy. On top of that, Spectral Cannon has some splash damage, and overall it is an easy-to-use weapon that even beginners can quickly get to grips with.

Salt Shotgun

The Salt Shotgun is a very powerful weapon, but only at close range. That’s why you need to combine it with grenades to have you covered at all distances. This double-barrel shotgun hits ghosts for a huge amount of damage and knocks them back. When used at the right time, you can knock ghosts back into traps in the heat of the moment. The biggest drawback of this weapon is frequent reloads, but that’s a fair price to pay for its damage.

Project X

If you don’t want to bother with magazines and reloading times, then the Project X minigun can save you from all that. The only thing that you need to watch out is for its tendency to overheat. Other than that, you get excellent damage with a high rate of fire that increases even further the longer you shoot. This is a perfect ghost assault weapon that can be well used with Trap gadgets. I love using this weapon when I don’t want to worry about aiming. With its firing rate, missing a few shots is no big deal.

Harpoon Bazooka

Here is another weapon that is really fun when combined with almost any other gun, and is easily one of the best hunter weapons in Midnight Ghost Hunt. The Harpoon Bazooka shoots out a harpoon with a chain attached to it that allows you to pull in ghosts and let your teammates easily finish the job.

Having a Lightweight perk would be great in this case, as it allows you to be more effective while chasing all the fleeing ghosts, and harpooning them in the process. The Harpoon also does enough damage that you might kill a ghost that’s not at full health with a single hit, making it terrifying to face.

Reaper

A sniper rifle such as Reaper can be useful in two types of situations: long range sniping of a single ghost, or luring a group of ghosts either into a trap or a C4 pile. As you might expect, the biggest drawback here is needing to aim, which can leave you vulnerable, and become difficult depending on the perks the ghosts chose. Despite this, the Reaper fires special energized darts that stick to ghosts, dealing damage and then exploding for extra damage. It’s pretty killer!

Flamethrower

The Flamethrower may not be precise like the Reaper, but when you need to quickly clear a room, then nothing comes close and puts this near the top of the best hunter weapons under the right circumstances. I love this weapon because I can simply burn all the props in a room to see if any are possessed. And if one is possessed, then the ghost remains on fire for a short time. Just don’t use it alongside Frostbite, since the flames remove the freezing effect on the props.
