Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is the latest period action game from Team Ninja. The studio behind Ninja Gaiden is set to deliver another hard action game in those veins. The fast combat seems to take a lot of inspiration from Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and studio’s own Nioh games. And it will be fully featured, with online co-op and invasion-style multiplayer. If this kind of exacting game is up your alley, you may be wondering if Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty features cross save and cross progression.
Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Cross Save and Cross Progression Explained
In short, no: Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty does not have cross-platform play in the way we’ve come to think of the feature. There is no cross save or cross progression in the game. However, it does have what the developers call “cross-generation multiplayer.”
Team Ninja gave a comprehensive official statement to WCCFTech regarding the state of cross progression and crossplay for Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty.
Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty will support cross-generation multiplayer, allowing users on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 or Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One to play together. Cross-platform play between PlayStation and Xbox users will not be supported.
This means that you won’t be able to carry your progress over from platform to platform. Bummer.
