FFXIV: Endwalker introduces a new melee DPS class to the jobs roster. Here's how to unlock Reaper.

You’ll want to unlock Reaper in FFXIV before you can play it. The Reaper is one of two new classes to Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker. Its flashy Voidsent-imbued abilities, and the fact it’s the first melee DPS class to be added to the roster in some time, make it the far more anticipated addition to the MMORPG than the healing-focused Sage.

This quick FFXIV: Endwalker guide will tell you how to unlock Reaper and get started with this job as quickly as possible. If you’re already close to or at the level cap, you won’t have to do too much at all.

How to Unlock Reaper in FFXIV: Endwalker

In order to unlock the Reaper class, you’ll need to both own Endwalker and have at least one class up to Level 70 already. If you fit both of those criteria, you can move forward with adding this class to your belt. There are only two things left to do: find an NPC and complete a questline.

The NPC needed to unlock the Reaper class can be found in Ul’dah, at the Steps of Nald. The Flustered Attendant is located at the coordinates (12.8,8.6) near the Quicksands. Their location can be seen on the map below.

Interact with the NPC to receive the quest, The Killer Instinct. Complete that quest, and you’ll have FFXIV‘s newest melee class unlocked and ready to play.

Note that this class begins at Level 70, so you won’t be able to

And that’s how you unlock the Reaper class in FFXIV: Endwalker. It really is that simple, especially if you already have a class at Level 70 or higher. If not, you could spend a little time on previous content in expansions like Shadowbringers or Stormblood to get ready.
