Hogwarts Legacy: How to Bury a Matriarch Spider's Head

Hogwarts Legacy has a variety of enemies in game that can be defeated in a variety of ways. Not only are there normal spiders, but there are Acromantulas and Matriarch spiders. One of the spider specific dueling feats is to "Bury a Matriarch Spider's Head". For those struggling with this feat, here is how to accomplish it. 

How to Bury a Matriarch Spider's Head

In order to achieve this dueling feat, you will need to pay attention to timing on the Matriarch spider's attacks. Specifically, you want to look out for her unblockable attack. It can be easier if you clear out the smaller spiders first so you only have her left to focus on.

When she stomps her back legs and rears up into her ready to lunge pose, as seen in the screenshot above, that is when you will want to cast Descendo on her. This is the only time it will pull down the Matriarch with enough force to bury her head into the ground.

Sometimes it takes a few tries to really get down the timing, especially if there are multiple enemies you need to focus on. Casting Arresto Momentum when she starts up her attacks can really help in that situation. Once her head is buried and you have achieved the dueling feat, you can blast her with all your spells. 

That is how to complete the dueling feat to Bury a Matriarch Spider's Head. This is also a good strategy for the other spiders, such as Acromantulas or the Infamous Foe, The Insatiable Spider.
