Wondering if you can get your hands on the Hogwarts Legacy DualSense PS5 controller? Well, yes and no.

The Hogwarts Legacy DualSense wireless controller is a sight to behold, especially for fans of the Wizarding World and the fantastical Potter-verse. The design adorning the controller highlights the spellcaster’s school and wisps of ancient magic in gold on a black background, and it’s the perfect collector’s item if nothing else. Sony announced pre-orders for the controller ahead of the game’s launch day, and you may be wondering, is the Hogwarts Legacy themed DualSense still available?

Can I Still Buy the Hogwarts Legacy DualSense PS5 Wireless Controller?

Though it’s pretty obvious from the name, the Hogwarts Legacy DualSense controller is only available on the PS5. What’s more, it’s only available for purchase through PlayStation Direct. As of this writing, this specific DualSense controller will not be officially available via third-party vendors.

Retailing for $79.99, the Hogwarts Legacy DualSense costs $10 more than the base white and black PS5 controllers, and $5 more than the more color versions of the controller.

So is the Hogwarts Legacy DualSense still available? Well, yes and no.

The rub is that the Hogwarts controller is currently sold out on both the U.S. and U.K. storefronts. Making things slightly more complicated than they should be for U.S. customers, it’s rather difficult to even find the page for the controller via the U.S. branch of PlayStation Direct (here’s a link so you don’t have to dig yourself).

With the controller “Currently Unavailable” through either store, there’s no word on when exactly it might be back in stock, if at all. Pre-orders seemingly snagged up all of the available units.

A quick look at eBay shows plenty available through the marketplace, but prices are expectedly astronomical, with the highest I was able to find coming in at a mind-numbing $299.99. The median range seems to be around $200, unfortunately.

Of course, we don’t recommend paying such high prices for anything like that, so please use your own discretion if you choose to pick one up outside of official sources. At the end of the day, it’s probably best to wait and see if demand forces Sony to release another run in the future (which, to be clear, is pure speculation on my part, and not something Sony has hinted at doing).

For now, that answers if the Hogwarts Legacy DualSense PS5 controller is still available. We’ll update this article with more information when appropriate.
