Our guide will provide you with a possible fix to “No Response from Host” error in Total War Warhammer 3. There are several possible reasons for this issue to occur, and we will review and provide solutions to all of them.

Use No Password

When creating an online session in Total War Warhammer 3, many players opt to give their hosted games a password in order to eliminate the unknown players in the group.

However, due to bugs in the netcode, it seems that passwords are currently preventing people from joining in whatsoever. That’s why simply don’t use any passwords on your hosted games.

The developer will surely fix this issue in the next patch.

Let Game Pass Users Host

Cross-store play between the Microsoft Store, Steam, and Epic Games users is also one of the reasons why players get the “No Response from Host” error.

It was reported by many players that Game Pass users should host the game in this case, and all other platforms should join in and it will work just fine.

If one of your friends plays the Total War Warhammer 3 on Game Pass, then let them create a lobby without password, and keep trying to join in until you see the server listed and available.

  2. Open Microsoft Video Game Platform app
  3. Select “Configuration” option
