Night Market Fish

Night Market Fish are a bit different from normal, legendary, and Crab Pot fish. The Midnight Squid, Spook Fish, and Blobfish can only be caught in the submarine ride that’s part of the Night Market during Winter. If you use Magic Bait, then you can also catch them in the southwest corner of the Beach during any season, regardless of weather or time.

Legendary Fish

Not only are legendary fish hard to catch, you can only catch one per save file. In multiplayer, this changes to once per player. This doesn’t include the five legendary fish that are part of Qi’s Extended Family quest that’s required to get the Master Angler achievement. Those fish can be caught multiple times, but only when you have the quest in progress. Without the quest or after you complete it, you cannot catch those fish.
