Usually, you can find these weapons in the game’s general loot pool, but some require farming by repeatedly killing a certain type of enemy at a certain location. In that case, you will find directions in our guide below.

Borderlands 3 Best Legendary Guns Tier List

Legendary Shotgun: Flakker

Borderlands 3 Legendary Shotgun: Flakker

Flakker might have the most absurd damage rating of any gun in Borderlands. Ever.

It shoots several projectiles at once that ricochet off surfaces, damaging everything on their way. They then explode into more pieces that burn everything on contact.

If you like fireworks and have no desire to waste time killing one enemy at a time, then Flakker should be your number one legendary weapon choice.

It has the following elemental variants:

  • Explosive
  • Incendiary
  • Radiation
How to get Flakker:

This legendary shotgun can be obtained randomly from any suitable loot source. Players have received Flakker from Graveward, Katagawa Jr., and Genevieve.

Legendary Pistol: King’s Call

Legendary Pistol: King's Call

King’s Call, or its equally excellent Queen’s Call companion, is a perfect weapon for any FL4K players.

This pistol shoots three bullets at once that, with the help of FL4K’s Fade Away action skill, makes every single hit automatically crit. This means that each shot will not only be super powerful but will also return three bullets to the gun’s magazine.

It has the following elemental variants:

  • Incendiary
  • Shock
  • Corrosive
How to get King’s Call:

This legendary pistol can be farmed from Tyreen the Destroyer, located in Destroyer’s Rift on Pandora.

Legendary Shotgun: The Butcher

Legendary Shotgun: The Butcher

Although the Butcher is classified as a shotgun, it can fill the role of either an assault rifle or an SMG. That’s because of its increased accuracy and incredibly high fire rate.

This means that you get three weapons for the price of one. The Butcher’s damage is just as high as that of a shotgun because of its Reverse Recoil ability, which reduces spread when fired for longer periods of time.

The Butcher can also randomly refill your magazine while firing, and it is one of the fastest-firing shotguns in the game.

How to get The Butcher:

This legendary shotgun can be farmed from Crazy Earl on Sanctuary III by Loot-O-Gram trading. It can also be found by farming Graveward, as well as Loot-Tinks.

Legendary Assault Rifle: Rowan’s Call

Legendary Assault Rifle: Rowan's Call

This fully automatic assault rifle will give you the edge from both midrange and close range.

Rowan’s Call can also return bullets to the magazine while getting critical hits, just like King’s Call. But this version of the weapon is designed to deal with multiple enemies at once, while the King’s or Queen’s pistols are made for a single target.

In any case, Rowan’s Call is a perfect companion to the King’s Call pistol. It has the following elemental variants:

  • Incendiary
  • Shock
  • Radiation
How to get Rowan’s Call:

This legendary assault rifle can be farmed from Crazy Earl on Sanctuary III by Loot-O-Gram trading. It can also be found by farming Graveward, Loot Tinks, and Chupacabratch.

Legendary Sniper Rifle: Lyuda

Legendary Sniper Rifle: Lyuda

Borderlands 2 players will definitely remember Lyuda, a strikingly powerful sniper rifle.

Its main advantage is in the splitting bullet, which spawns two more projectiles when traveling to its destination. All three projectiles deal an equal amount of damage, surely devastating to any enemy.

It is recommended to use Lyuda on large monsters that will require only a few precise shots to go down, though it can be used in other scenarios against tougher enemies.

It has the following elemental variants:

  • Incendiary
  • Shock
  • Radiation
  • Corrosive
  • Cryo
  • Explosive
How to get Lyuda:

This legendary sniper rifle can be obtained by completing all of Zero’s Targets of Opportunity.

Legendary SMG: Crossroad

Legendary SMG: Crossroad

Some weapons can be often overlooked simply because they are only effective in the hands of one character. This is the case with Crossroad and Amara.

This SMG shoots elemental projectiles that can be extremely effective with the help of four of Amara’s action skills:

  • Tempest
  • Personal Space
  • Samsara
  • Forceful Expression

The combo of the right character, the right skills, and the right weapon can bring any enemy down regardless of its elemental protection.

It has the following elemental variants:

  • Incendiary
  • Shock
  • Radiation
  • Corrosive
  • Cryo
How to get Crossroad:

This legendary SMG can be obtained randomly from any suitable loot source. Graveward and TVHM are good ways to get this weapon.

Legendary SMG: Cutsman

Legendary SMG: Cutsman

The power of Cutsman lies in its unusual projectiles that stretch horizontally while flying toward the target.

This means that the stretched projectile can either hit a larger number of enemies gathered in one spot, or it could be very effective against huge bosses with large hitboxes.

Either way, the projectiles inflict more devastation because of this weapon’s damage status effect, which lingers after they hit the target.

It has the following elemental variants:

  • Incendiary
  • Shock
  • Radiation
  • Corrosive
  • Cryo
How to get Cutsman:

This legendary SMG can be obtained randomly from any suitable loot source. Playing on TVHM or with Mayhem mode turned on will increase your chances.
