All of the new Destiny 2 weapons from the King’s Fall Raid are high on the tier list of their respective type. Zaouli’s Bane is no exception. While it won’t always replace the old standby choices of Fatebringer, Austringer, Eyasluna, or other classic weapons, it competes with them at every opportunity.

Have one with the rolls presented in this guide, and it might not just compete with the classics. Depending on the situation, it could surpass them.

Zaouli’s Bane Hand Cannon PvE God Roll

Zaouli’s Bane is an excellent gun on its own, with solid stats and great elemental synergy with any Solar 3.0 build you can think up. Equip the below perks, however, and it’s good in most situations.

Barrel: Arrowhead Brake, Chambered Compensator

Zaouli’s Bane is a little more awkward to handle than Fatebringer or Eyasluna, so adding Arrowhead Brake‘s Handling buffs puts it well in line with those weapons. Chambered Compensator might reduce Zaouli’s Bane’s Handling, but the buffs to both Stability and Recoil more than make up for it.

Magazine: Accurized Rounds, Tactical Mag

The more Range you can pump into your Hand Cannons, the better, and no Magazine does that better than Accurized Rounds. On the other hand, Tactical Mag is a fantastic second option, adding one extra bullet before you run dry and providing a bit of Stability and Reload Speed.

PvE Trait 1: Explosive Payload, Well-Rounded

Explosive Payload offers one of the best secondary abilities in a Trait: damage unaffected by range. As long as you hit your target, the explosion will always do the same damage, no matter how far away you are. It also staggers smaller enemies slightly, giving it a passive benefit on top of everything else. Well-Rounded is an excellent second option, as charged grenade and melee ability usage give the weapon up to two stacks of improvement to Handling, Stability, and Recoil.

PvE Trait 2: Incandescent, Firefly

Solar 3.0 builds have another great weapon choice in Zaouli’s Bane, as like the Calus Mini-Tool, it can roll with Incandescent, which causes Scorching explosions on final blows. As you’ll focus on precision kills, expect lots of explosions. Firefly provides another means of making your foes go up in flames while giving you a massive bonus to Reload Speed on a precision kill.

Zaouli’s Bane Hand Cannon PvP God Roll

Like most of the King’s Fall weapons, Zaouli’s Bane can be just as effective in PvP as PvE, though you’ll need separate rolls for one or the other.

Barrel

The PvE choices are just fine for PvP.

Magazine

Your Magazine rolls for PvE also work for PvP.

PvP Trait 1: Explosive Payload, Opening Shot

The consistent damage on Explosive Payload is great no matter what you’re doing, but the Trait also causes significant flinch, especially if you land a precision hit. Opening Shot grants Range, Aim Assist, and Accuracy on the first shot of an engagement, all but ensuring you get a hit.

PvP Trait 2: Demolitionist, Eye of the Storm

The second Trait column on Zaouli’s Bane doesn’t have as many strong PvP perks. Still, Demolitionist can be useful if your build relies on grenades, reloading the weapon whenever you throw one and granting energy with every kill. Eye of the Storm grants Range, Aim Assist, and Handling the lower your health gets, giving you an edge in a contested fight.

Zaouli’s Bane is an exceptional Destiny 2 Hand Cannon that rivals other top-tier options, especially if you get some of the rolls in this guide. We’ve covered other god rolls here, like the Stormchaser, Forbearance, and Taipan-4fr, so check those out next. Our Destiny 2 guides hub has more.
