Hogwarts Legacy: How to Get to the Room Of Requirement

Accessing the Room of Requirement offers a lot of benefits, especially for brewing potions in Hogwarts Legacy.

Hogwarts Legacy lets you brew potions and grow plants in a place called the Room of Requirement, but getting to the area can be a little difficult due to its hidden nature. However, returning to the secret location frequently means that you can keep a steady supply of potions and ingredients for making them, which can be invaluable when you’re doing quests.

As you complete main quests, you’ll end up with one appropriately titled “The Room of Requirement.” Professor Weasley wants to show you where you can work on your studies in peace and catch up to the other fifth-years. After you complete the quest and learn how to use the Room of Requirement, you’re able to return there at your leisure.

Using Floo Flames to Reach The Room Of Requirement

There are two ways to get to the Room of Requirement, and both involve traveling by Floo Flames.

Floo Flame 1

The first method is the easiest since the Room of Requirement has a Floo Flame directly inside, but finding it on the map can be a little tricky. Use the sun icon near the top of the Hogwarts Map to open the selection of secret room options, and then choose Room of Requirement from there.

Floo Flame 2

The second Floo Flame option is the Astronomy Tower. From there, head down the stairs. At the bottom, where you turn left, you’ll find the door to the Room of Requirement on the empty wall in the corridor, across from a large tapestry that’s also a Guide Page. It’s important to note that the entrance will only appear here if you’ve already unlocked it through the main questline.

And that’s how to get to the Room of Requirement. It’s useful in combination with some of our other Hogwarts Legacy guides, such as how to get Fluxweed Stem and how to use potions simultaneously. You’ll be ready to take on Professor Sharp’s extra assignments in no time.
