Check System Requirements

First make sure that your PC or laptop corresponds to the official system requirements of the game, as this is the most obvious possible issue.

If you do meet the requirements, make sure your DirectX is up to date as well.

Disney Dreamlight Valley minimum system requirements:

  • OS: Windows 10.
  • Processor: Intel Core i3-540 / AMD Phenom II X4 940.
  • Memory: 6 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT, 512 MB / AMD Radeon HD 6570, 1 GB.
  • DirectX: Version 11.

Disney Dreamlight Valley recommended system requirements:

  • OS: Windows 10.
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-4690 / AMD Ryzen 3 1300X.
  • Memory: 6 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960, 4 GB / AMD Radeon R9 380, 4 GB.

Launch the Game as Administrator

Some users may have permission issues on their PCs or laptops, so be sure to run the game as administrator:

  1. Start Steam app.

  4. Click on “Browse” button in “Add an App” field.
  5. Browse for Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Now, when you launch the game on your laptop, it will use the dedicated GPU instead.

  7. Set the real-time protection to OFF.

You may also temporarily disable the Windows firewall:

  1. Press the Start button.
  2. Go to “Settings” tab.
  3. Select “Update and Security” feature.
  4. Go to “Windows Security” tab.
  5. Select “Firewall and Windows Protection” feature.
  6. Open “Windows Security” settings.
  7. Switch the Microsoft Defender Firewall option OFF.
