Those planning on playing Hogwarts Legacy on PC may be curious about the game’s minimum and recommended specs, and rightly so considering the hardware bloat that’s come along over the past year or so.

Luckily, the minimum specs for Hogwarts Legacy aren’t too steep, and even the specs for ultra settings at 4k are reasonable compared to most other AAA titles on PC these days. Let’s go over what you’re going to need hardware-wise for the upcoming Harry Potter game.

Hogwarts Legacy Minimum and Recommended PC Specs

Be sure to check for updates to your graphics driver on release day just to avoid potential crashes and other issues, regardless of your hardware.

Hogwarts Legacy Minimum Specs

  • OS: 64-bit Windows 10
  • CPU: Intel Core i5-6600 (3.3 GHz) or AMD Ryzen 5 1400 (3.2 GHz)
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 4GB or AMD Radeon RX 470 4GB
  • RAM: 16GB
  • DirectX version: DX12
  • Storage Space: 85GB HDD or SSD

PC players can use a HDD instead of an SSD to run the game at lower specifications but an SSD is preferred and HDD load times may not be supported at higher graphical fidelity.

Hogwarts Legacy Recommended / High Specs

  • OS: 64-bit Windows 10
  • CPU: Intel i7-8700 (3.2 GHz) or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 (3.6 GHz)
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 1080 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT or INTEL Arc A770
  • RAM: 16GB
  • DirectX version: DX12
  • Storage Space: 85GB SSD

You’ll need to have the game installed on a SSD to run it on high settings or above.

Hogwarts Legacy Ultra Specs

  • OS: 64-bit Windows 10
  • CPU: Intel Core i7-10700K (3.80 GHz) or AMD Ryzen 7 5800X (3.80 GHz)
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT
  • RAM: 32GB
  • DirectX version: DX12
  • Storage Space: 85GB SSD

Hogwarts Legacy Ultra 4k Specs

  • OS: 64-bit Windows 10
  • CPU: Intel Core i7-10700K (3.80 GHz) or AMD Ryzen 7 5800X (3.80 GHz)
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT
  • RAM: 32GB
  • DirectX version: DX12
  • Storage Space: 85GB SSD

The minimum requirements should be easy enough for most computers to meet these days, even the recommended specs are easy enough to meet. You’ll have to turn to getting improved hardware if you can’t meet the minimum specs, though, or turn to the game on consoles.
