To gain Skill Points, you’ll need to build a Skill Chain by performing tricks in quick succession without crashing. Some of these tricks include drifting, near misses, wrecking objects, and speeding. As you perform tricks, you’ll notice your score and multiplier increasing at the top of your screen.

While not necessary, using cars that have a 7x Skill Point multiplier will definitely speed up the process. Some of the best cars to farm Skill Points with are the Formula Drift cars and Hoonigan RS200.

Additionally, make sure to keep your radio on and listen for skill songs that let you earn a score multiplier of up to ×10.0.

How to Farm Skill Points in Forza Horizon 5

One of the easiest ways to farm Skill Points would be to find a relatively open field and just drift as much as you can while destroying small trees and cacti. By doing this, you can easily earn high scores from drifting and wreckage tricks alone. Since these spaces are usually empty, it is almost impossible to crash and lose your score and multiplier.

Another method that works well is driving on any of the main highways while going as fast as you can. The trick is to drive at max speed while also accumulating near misses whenever possible. This can be done by intentionally getting close to other cars and objects while zooming past them.

Once you reach the end of the highway, pull a drift to perform a U-turn and drive back the way you came. This will keep your Skill Chain alive and let you continue earning points. Also if you find a nice open spot while driving along the highway, you can seamlessly switch to the first method and continue earning those Skill Points.

If you already have some Skill Points to spare make sure to spend them on perks that award better scores and multipliers for the tricks you are performing.

Doing this will definitely be worth it in the long run and make earning Skill Points noticeably easier. In addition, the ‘Extra Life’ perk is a no-brainer as it will let you keep your Skill Chain going even after your first collision. However, it is the most expensive perk in the game and costs a whopping 25 Skill Points. Still, it may be worth getting if you find yourself constantly crashing into things and losing all your points.

You’ll earn one skill point for every score of 50,000 and a single Skill Chain can grant you up to 10 points. So you should be aiming for around a total score of 500,000 every time before stopping your car and banking those points.
