What Happens at Midnight in Midnight Ghost Hunt?

The timer reaching zero doesn't always mean the round is over in Midnight Ghost Hunt.

While “midnight” is in the game’s title, it’s also important for both teams to be prepared for when the clock strikes twelve. The pressure of time is on both sides, and the timer doesn’t necessarily signal the end of the round. So, what happens at midnight in Midnight Ghost Hunt?

Midnight Ghost Hunt: What Happens at Midnight?

Once the clock strikes midnight, all ghosts are revived and made even stronger, which puts the pressure on the Hunters to get them taken care of as quickly as possible.

When a round begins, the timer shows you how long you’ve got until midnight. Both the Hunters and Ghosts have a goal for when the timer hits zero. The Hunters want to defeat all the Ghosts. But the Ghosts want to survive until midnight.

If the timer hits zero and at least one Ghost is still alive, another round begins. All defeated Ghosts are revived, and they’ll come back stronger. During the second round, Ghosts have a claw ability that lets them attack Hunters without having to possess props and use special abilities or launch themselves as a projectile. Ghosts return with 60HP, meaning they’ll be even tougher to take out, and more lethal with their attacks.

However, Hunters also get a benefit at midnight. Ghosts are easier to spot because they have a red glow added to them. This red glow is also applied to any props that they possess. You don’t need to guess which props are possessed, which definitely helps. As such, the second half of the round is faster-paced and more action-packed—assuming the Ghosts survive long enough to trigger this round.

And that’s what happens at midnight in Midnight Ghost Hunt. The Ghosts have a chance to get revenge, but the Hunters have an easier time spotting them. This makes it feel balanced since each team receives benefits. From here, check out our guide hub for topics like the best Hunter perks as we work to add more content!
