Here's how to get lots of Wyrmlife Crystals early in Dragon's Dogma 2.

Wyrmslife Crystals are the core late-game enhancing material and are crucial for Wyrmfire gear. You’ll need between 5 and 20 for a single armor or weapon upgrade, and one of the main quests even requires 15 of them. Here’s how to find more Wyrmslife crystals in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

While you’re in Batthal, there are three main ways to get lots of Wyrmslife Crystals in the mid-game before farming them in the late-game. These are:

  • First Method: Visit the Dragonforged in his cave and pick up the 5 Wyrmslife Crystals on his stone desk.

  • Third Method: Go back to Vermund and fight Drakes or find any in Batthal (I marked the locations of spawn points I found in Vermund, but I have yet to encounter one in the desert area).

While the Dragonforged cave is the easiest way to grab some Wyrmslife Crystals, it won’t be enough for anything besides some lesser armor pieces. You ideally want to hunt the Dragonsbreath Tower Dragon, which will happen naturally through the main quest, but you can do so yourself at any time as well. After that, Drakes and other draconic enemies are your best bet and they drop WC even if they flee.

As for the endgame area after you get the true ending, Wyrmslife Crystals become drastically more abundant. Here are all the ways to get them in the endgame:

  • Doing Red Beam events in Bakbattahl, Vernworth, Sacred Arbor, and Volcanic Island.
  • By doing the evacuation quests in each main region by talking to region leaders like Nadinia/Menella in Bakbattahl or Captain Brant/Sven in Vernworth for example.
  • Defeating draconic enemies and bosses like the one in the Vernworth Red Beam event.

Wyrmslife Crystals are the crucial endgame resource for getting Wyrmfire gear or buying endgame equipment.
