In Dragon’s Dogma 2, maisters are marked with a red dragon wing symbol on the map. I’ll show you all their locations as well as how to unlock each vocation and their secret ultimate skills. Here are all maister locations in Dragon’s Dogma 2.
All Maisters and Ultimate Skills in Dragon’s Dogma 2
Here’s a quick overview of all Maisters and ultimate skills in Dragon’s Dogma 2:
I’ll start by showing you the general locations of all vocation maisters in Vermund and Batthal, and then we’ll move on to specific maister locations and quests for ultimate skills. I’ve outlined all the Vermund maisters above, which you can reach in the early parts of the game. Most of them are concentrated near Melve (the starting town).
As for Batthal and the Volcanic Island, you can see all the maisters in this region in the image above. From what you can see, there aren’t that many in Batthal. Luz the Trickster maister is technically the only one in the desert area, as are the Magick Archer and Warfarer maisters on Volcanic Island. Myrddin the Sorcerer maister is quite close to Luz, though, if players are interested in Sorcerers and Tricksters, as they’re both near the Checkpoint Rest Town. Let’s now move to specific locations.
Where is the Fighter Maister in Dragon’s Dogma 2
Lennart is the Fighter maister and the first maister you’ll meet in Dragon’s Dogma 2. He’s stationed in Melve, where you can also find Leannart. While you can meet him quite early on, he can only teach you the Fighter’s ultimate skill, Riotous Fury, once you complete the Readvent of Calamity quest. I started this one as soon as I revisited Melve after reaching Vernworth.
Where is the Mage Maister in Dragon’s Dogma 2
The small elderly woman Eini found in the above picture is the Mage maister. She’s in a small wooden cottage you can reach by yourself or through the Melve quest, where you’re looking for an NPC’s lost brother. I tried talking to her while I was playing Thief, but she didn’t give me the quest for the Mage’s ultimate skill until I returned as a Mage myself or had a Mage pawn. Where is the Warrior Maister in Dragon’s Dogma 2
Beren is the Warrior maister located west of the Borderwatch Outpost. I reached him only after I entered Melve for the first time. It was while searching for an NPC’s lost brother, which is a side quest you get in Melve. You can do a small side quest for Beren as well, but he teaches you the Warrior secret skill only after you return to him once you unlock the Warrior vocation. Either way, I recommend completing his side quest first for some extra gold and XP.
Where is the Thief Maister in Dragon’s Dogma 2
While you’ll likely encounter Flaude first in the Nameless Village Old Manor, he’s actually a fake Thief maister. Srail is the real Thief maister, and you can find him by following our Thief ultimate skill guide. Essentially, he’s at the end of the Nameless Village depths mini-dungeon, where you can enter through a hole in the ground behind the Old Manor in the Nameless Village. Talking to him teaches you the ultimate Thief skill.
Where is the Archer Maister in Dragon’s Dogma 2
Taliesin is the Archer maister, and I found him in the Sacred Arbor area on the map above. He’ll teach you the Thief’s ultimate skill only if you complete Gift of the Bow in Vernworth in front of Roderick’s Smithy by giving Glyndwr any bow. Then, you need to travel with Glyndwr near the Sacred Arbor through his A Trial of Archery quest while in the Thief vocation. I would Rank up the Thief vocation before reaching the side quest location, as an Ogre will kidnap Glyndwr’s sister Doireann during the side quest. Taliesin will only teach you the ultimate Thief skill, Heavenly Shot if you rescue Doireann and then speak to him.
Where is the Sorcerer Maister in Dragon’s Dogma 2
There are two Sorcerer maisters in Dragon’s Dogma 2 Trysha and Myrddin. Trysha’s location is in my Mage maister entry above. Myrddin is in an old manor at the top of the Checkpoint Rest Town which you can see on the map above. You’ll have to collect five spell tomes for him to unlock the ultimate Sorcerer skill.
Where is the Mystic Spearhand Maister in Dragon’s Dogma 2
Sigurd is the Mystic Spearhand maister and you’ll find him at two locations. The first one is Melve during the Drake attack which triggers when you return to this town after reaching Vernworth. Here is where you can unlock the Mystic Spearhand vocation by talking to him. His other location is in Harve Village as in the picture above. This is where he’ll teach you the ultimate skill for this vocation after you defeat the drake who attacked Melve in the Dragonsbreath Temple in Batthal.
Where is the Trickster Maister in Dragon’s Dogma 2
You can reach the Trickster maister Luz the Oracle as soon as you enter Batthal from the border pass at Checkpoint Rest Town. She’s in a shrine on the map above and talking to her incorporeal form unlocks this vocation. The trick is that you can find Luz’s real body on top of the shrine to unlock the Trickster’s ultimate skill. I did this by climbing the ladder on the left side of the shrine. Then, navigate to the front of the temple’s roof. She’s right at the frontal-most point of the shrine’s roof which I recommend you reach with the Mage flight skill.
Where is the Magick Archer Maister in Dragon’s Dogma 2
Cliodhna is the Magick Archer maister, and I found her after finishing the main quests in Bakbatthal and moving to the Volcanic Island. I marked her location above, which you can reach by taking a left onto the small island at the beginning of the Volcanic Island. Talking to her husband, Gautstafr will start the Put a Spring in Thy Step quest, where you need to gather some herbs and eventually escort them both to Geyser Hamlet. Talking to her unlocks the Magick Archer vocation, and completing Put a Spring in Thy Step unlocks the ultimate skill for this vocation.
Where is the Warfarer Maister in Dragon’s Dogma 2
You’ll reach Lamond the Warfarer maister in Geyser Hamlet through Put a Spring in Thy Step quest for the Magick Archer. However, if you don’t want to visit Cliodhna, simply follow the map above to reach Lamond. To unlock the Warfarer vocation you need to bring him three Newt Liqueur. I crafted all three from Saurian Tails and Wine. Continue interacting with him to unlock the Warfarer’s ultimate skill.
