Monster Hunter: World has a slew of terrifying, earth-rending beasts. While you’ll manage to scrape by alright with some of them, others are just downright vicious. That goes doubly so for Elder Dragons.
If you’ve ever come face to face with Teostra, though, you’ll know that he’s on another level entirely. This fiery beast of a winged lion will tear you limb from limb if you so much as look at him funny. Teostra will unleash blasts of fire so hot it’ll melt your very bones.
However, if you can manage to utilize his weaknesses against him, you may just stand a fighting chance. Let’s jump in, shall we?
Teostra’s Weakness in Monster Hunter: Wolrd
There are a few things you can do to prepare for the Teostra fight. For one, if you find that he’s killing you too quickly, it helps to make sure that your Armor is working out for you. Be sure that you’re using at least mid-level High Rank Armor. If you really want to improve your chances of survival, make sure that your Armor set can resist fire by having a fire resistance of 20 or more.
Next, make sure the weapons you’re using are up to snuff. To be sure the hunt goes smoothly, you’ll want to make sure that your weapon is at least Rank 5. If you want to do the most damage possible, use a weapon with a Water or Ice element.
While in combat, make sure you aim for Teostra’s head whenever there’s an adequate enough of an opening, since that’s where you’ll deal the most damage. When the head is out of reach, however, you can still get pretty decent damage out on its wings and tail, so just focus on hitting what you can.
