How to Get Relay Tickets in Fire Emblem Engage

Relay Tickets are your key to playing Fire Emblem Engage's co-op modes, so here's everything you need to know about getting them.

Fire Emblem Engage, like the rest of the series, is a mostly single-player affair. However, the latest entry also introduces some fascinating new co-op elements into the mix, such as Relay Trials, which have you and another player taking turns to take down the same enemy army. Of course, in order to play this multiplayer mode, you’ll need something called Relay Tickets, as well as a Nintendo Switch Online membership.

Fire Emblem Engage: How to Get Relay Tickets

There’s one single way of getting Relay Tickets in Fire Emblem Engage, and that’s by simply visiting the Somniel. Every 24 hours of real-world time, the game will automatically reward you with a Relay Ticket, and you claim it by simply visiting the Somniel. You’ll see a brief notification window popping up each time you get a Relay Ticket. There’s nothing extra you need to do to add it to your inventory.

At the moment, this is the sole way of getting Relay Tickets, although that could be changed in a future patch. Right now, you should just make sure to boot the game up each day and visit the Somneil, and you’ll wrack them up in no time.

How to Use Relay Tickets in Fire Emblem Engage

To actually use Relay Tickets, you’ll once again want to head to the Somniel, and go to the Tower of Trials. You can open the map by pressing X and instantly travel to the location or manually moving over to the easternmost side of the map and look for a little ticket icon. The Tower of Trials is unlocked after completing Chapter 4.

Enter the tower and choose the Relay Trial option, which will present two options. You can choose to take over another player’s trial, which will put you into the battle partway, and you won’t use any tickets. Or you can choose to start a new Relay Trial, which will use up one of your tickets. Now you’ll start out the battle and play a few turns before leaving off and letting another player handle the rest.

That’s everything you might need to know about Relay Tickets. For plenty of other tips and walkthroughs, make sure to check out our Fire Emblem Engage guides hub
