TotK Boulder Breaker: Soul of the Gorons Quest and Requirements

Once you’re finished with the Eldin/Goron City main quest, you’ll have recruited Yunobo as a Sage Companion. Return to Goron City and head to the hut along the northern edge of the hub. There, you’ll meet Fugo and Rohan.

The former wants to prove that he’s a capable blacksmith by crafting the TotK Boulder Breaker. You’ll then receive the Soul of the Gorons quest, which requires you to gather the following:

  • 5x Flint — You’ll want to mine or destroy regular ore deposits in the Surface World. These are normally found in caves or near mountainous areas.
  • 3x Diamond — These can be found in precious ore deposits, such as those in the Sky World. Some are also rewarded in Shrines, like Jochi-Ihiga/Rock For Sale. Moreover, if you already have a single Diamond, you could just dupe the materials.
  • 1x Cobble Crusher — There are a select few locations, though I went to an area that’s fairly easy to reach.

Where to Find the Cobble Crusher

While there are a few Cobble Crusher locations in the game, I suggest going to the Eldin Canyon Skyview Tower. Once there, glide west, and you’ll spot a small Bokoblin tent. The coordinates are (1498, 1185, 0179).

Eliminate the hostiles and open the chest to obtain the weapon. You should be one step close to acquiring the Boulder Breaker weapon.

TotK Boulder Breaker Stats

After gathering all the required items, return to Fugo and Rohan in Goron City. There, you’ll receive the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Boulder Breaker. The weapon has a +38 attack power rating. Although it’s fairly slow, it also packs a punch.

Additionally, you can ask Fugo to make another one if the original item gets destroyed and you need a replacement. Still, I think it might be better to just dupe weapons to avoid the hassle.

In any case, that’s how to get the Boulder Breaker in Tears of the Kingdom. You can find other regional legendaries/unique weapons throughout the campaign. Examples include the Lightscale Trident from Zora’s Domain, the Great Eagle Bow from Rito Village, and the Scimitar of the Seven/Daybreaker combo from Gerudo Town. Likewise, there are countless activities and mechanics in the game, so be sure to visit our Zelda: TotK guides hub for more tips, strategies, and walkthroughs.
