Reaching Hyrule Castle Early in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Easiest Route: How to Paraglide to Hyrule Castle

There are two ways to get into Hyrule Castle. While both require minimum effort, paragliding into the castle is by far the easiest way to reach it early on.

To fly into Hyrule Castle, you’ll need a lot of stamina. I recommend grinding a bit to increase your stamina meter using the Lights of Blessing. You can do so by completing Shrines dotting the Hyrule map. Having a little over two additional stamina sections should do. Alternatively, you can create plenty of items to replenish stamina by using Staminella Shrooms and Restless Crickets.

With that done, head to Skyview Tower in Lookout Landing, shoot to the top, and begin gliding toward Hyrule Castle. As you make your way toward the castle, refill your stamina whenever needed until you reach your destination. Then free fall down into a pool of water. If you miss the pool, pop open the paraglider near the ground to save yourself from getting damage — or dying.

Somewhat Harder Route: How to Reach Hyrule Castle From the Ground

Another common way of getting to Hyrule Castle is by using the Ultrahand ability. Whenever I use the ability, I’m impressed by some of the things I create to reach places I normally couldn’t. The same can be said here if you combine a couple of things to reach the Castle.

If you have rockets available, head somewhere near Hyrule Castle — but not directly beneath it. Build some flat wooden planks at one of the many areas that have building materials. You can also use a few logs when cutting trees.

When you have your platform together, place some rockets on the sides and get ready to blast off to the castle grounds. If you have batteries, use those as well with some Zoniate Charges to increase the amount of time the rockets propel you before running out. After reaching the optimal height, hop off and paraglide to the castle grounds.

Those are the easiest ways to get to Hyrule Castle in Tears of the Kingdom, and you can build even more contraptions to get there using wing devices or hot air balloons. If you’re looking for more tips, tricks, and walkthroughs, head over to our TotK guides page.
