Resident Evil 4 (2005) included New Game Plus, but will the upcoming Resident Evil 4 remake do the same?

Capcom’s remake of fan-favorite Resident Evil 4 hasn’t been released yet, but the developers have confirmed some features that the game will include. One of those features is New Game Plus, though details on the remake’s version of the mode are yet to be revealed. We may be able to safely make some assumptions based off the original game’s New Game Plus, however.

Resident Evil 4 has been released more than once across platforms over the years, but now Capcom is giving it a full remake that’s described as being “based on” the original game. We’ve already seen changes made to characters like Ashley and Ada, as well as changes to the layout and gameplay in recent trailers, but not much is actually known about the upcoming Resident Evil 4 remake just yet.

The Original Resident Evil 4 New Game Plus

In the 2005 Resident Evil 4, New Game Plus lets you restart the game from the beginning while keeping your weapons and upgrades from completing the game. You can also use different outfits when playing in New Game Plus, and suiting up Ashley in the knight armor can be a welcome option since it makes it much harder for the Ganado to kidnap her. It’s possible that the remake could include similar features for New Game Plus.
