Fravashi Trees are a type of special landmark in Genshin Impact. Added as part of the version 3.6 update, you’ll have to look for all of them to complete the Pale Fire quest. There are 10 in total, and each of them presents a specific challenge to overcome. Here’s what you need to know.
Fravashi Tree Locations in Genshin Impact’s Pale Fire Quest
The Pale Fire quest becomes available in Genshin Impact once you’ve completed the initial portion of Khvarena of Good and Evil. You’ll talk to a Pari nymph named Zurvan, who’ll tell you about the corruption in the land.
At this point, you’re tasked with finding the 10 Fravashi Trees. These have a gnarled/withered icon on your minimap, though there’s no tracking function in-game. Still, we’ve got you covered. You can take a look at the map below.
Though we provide our own numbering for each Fravashi Tree location, you can find them in any order. However, because some areas are inaccessible at the start, we advise that you progress further in the Khvarena of Good and Evil quest until you’ve completed As the Khvarena’s Light Shows.

Fravashi Tree Challenges
To complete the challenges from Fravashi Trees in Genshin Impact, you’ll need to use Sorush to interact with them. A Residual Pari will then appear. Talk to the nymph and you’ll be given different kinds of tasks:
- Defeat all enemies: This is the most straightforward, as you simply need to eliminate all hostiles.
- Collect fragments: Fly around and interact with the three green fragments that are floating in mid-air.
- Follow the Pari: The Pari will float all over the area, and you’ll need to follow it with Sorush. Stay close to it, and use Sorush’s speed burst to catch up.
- Give Udumbara Pistils: A couple of Pari nymphs will require three pistil items, which can only be found from specific locations. You can refer to our Udumbara Pistils guide for more info.

Each Fravashi Tree that you cleanse nets you a Plume of Purifying Light, a collectible item that can be offered to the Amrita Pool for rewards. In any case, we detail the locations and tasks for the Genshin Impact Fravashi Trees in the section below.

After cleansing all Fravashi Trees, return to Zurvan in Vourukasha Oasis to finish your objective.
