It was announced on the official Level-5 blog that the studio's upcoming soccer RPG, Inazuma Eleven Great Road of Heroes (formerly Inazuma Eleven Ares), has once again been delayed and will not see a release until sometime in 2021. The game was previously delayed back in 2018

According to a translation by BlackKite and JapaneseNintendo, Level-5 CEO Akihiro Hino stated in the blog post that production has been in a difficult state due to problems in game development, including rising online criticism and declining staff motivation. The currently ongoing global pandemic was not cited as one of the problems in development.

Hino continues to say that the team almost gave up on the game altogether, but decided to restart development. This new Inazuma Eleven game will utilize the development system and engine used for recent titles in the Yo-Kai Watch series, to ensure that it will be completed and remain at a high quality.

Level- 5 will also be creating the new Inazuma Eleven without having it more directly tied to an anime series, as was originally planned with Inazuma Eleven Ares. However, it is expected to have a much higher degree of freedom, possibly integrating features from all previous games in the series while also still adding some new ones.

Hino said he also would like the game to be more beginner-friendly and be a "brand-new title with a new feeling." Further clarification on this statement has not yet been provided.

Whether this new Inazuma Eleven game will still keep the Great Road of Heroes title or have another name change has not yet been revealed.

The brand-new Inazuma Eleven title is planned for release on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 in 2021 in Japan. Although Inazuma Eleven Ares was previously confirmed for a Western release, it is not yet known if this new game will be released in any other territories.

The first Inazuma Eleven can be purchased digitally on the Nintendo 3DS eShop in North America and Europe, and the corresponding anime series is available on Amazon Prime Video in North AmericaInazuma Eleven 3, as well as the Inazuma Eleven GO series, can be purchased on the Nintendo 3DS eShop in Europe.

In addition to the Yo-Kai Watch 4 delay, the latest issue of CoroCoro Comic has also revealed that Inazuma Eleven Ares, the newest title in the Inazuma Eleven soccer strategy RPG series, has been delayed to this winter in Japan.

Inazuma Eleven Ares was originally slated to launch this summer for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android, but was later delayed until fall, making this the second delay the title has received. Reasons for the delay are currently unknown.

Inazuma Eleven Ares will (allegedly) launch this winter in Japan for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android, with a 2019 release window for North America and Europe. It will be the first game in the Inazuma Eleven series to receive a North American release since the digital Nintendo 3DS re-release of the first Inazuma Eleven in 2014.

It is currently unknown if all versions will be released outside of Japan.

There's always a good deal of hype surrounding Level-5 games. Whether that's Ni No Kuni or Professor Layton, the community is always ready to learn as much information about the studio's titles as they can -- especially before launch.

Recently, Level-5 updated the official Japanese website for the upcoming soccer strategy RPG, Inazuma Eleven Ares, the first Inazuma Eleven title to release on Nintendo Switch, as well as the first to receive a North American release since the Nintendo 3DS eShop remake of the original Inazuma Eleven in 2014. The update reveals more detail about the scouting system, battle mechanics, and the toy link system.

Here's a quick look at how those systems are reported to work when the game releases.

Scouting Other Players for Your Team

To recruit other players, you'll be able to talk to your team manager, Anna Mikado, who will introduce you to them. Another way players will join your team is by meeting the correct requirements, such as defeating them in a match.

Characters from the old Raimon team seen in the original Inazuma Eleven series are now spread throughout Japan, and they are used extra players in the other teams encountered throughout the game. In addition to players from other teams, there will also be several different arenas in which soccer matches will take place.

As of this writing, more details on those were not available.

Soccer Match Details

The update also covered the details of passing, command battles, defending, shooting, and special moves.

The pass line will show who the current ball holder can pass to, and it's best to choose which player to pass to based on the situation. Timing and distance are important factors to consider as well, and once the ball is passed, the receiving teammate will control the ball.

When a teammate and an opposing player run into each other, it will prompt a command battle in which the player can either move left or right, or execute a special move.

When moving, the player can steal the ball from the opposing player if their ability and power is strong enough.

Once the player gets close enough to the goal, they can choose to shoot the ball. Players will first have to determine their shot type depending on the situation and timing, and then individual player ability will determine if the goal is successful.

In tricky situations, special moves can turn the match around. These special moves are divided into four types: Shoot, Offense, Defense, and Keeper. Each will be successful depending on the timing of each move, as well as their specific characteristics.

Toy Link

Additionally, Inazuma Eleven Ares is compatible with Eleven Band and Eleven License toys. The Eleven Band will allow players to send Training Power once a day and will give experience points, or Nekettsu points -- points required to obtain secret books for learning techniques, items, and equipment. These are also required for training and practice matches.

Eleven License toys will give either experience points or Nekettsu points, and up to three can be used each day. More information will be revealed in a future update.

Inazuma Eleven Ares will launch in Japan in Fall 2018 for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android. A North American and European launch of the game is planned for 2019.

New Details for Inazuma Eleven Ares Emerge https://www.gameskinny.com/xtxzg/new-details-for-inazuma-eleven-ares-emerge https://www.gameskinny.com/xtxzg/new-details-for-inazuma-eleven-ares-emerge Tue, 14 Nov 2017 12:21:15 -0500 Erroll Maas

An interview with the Level-5 president and CEO, Akihiro Hino, has been released in the newest issue of Weekly Famitsu magazine. During the interview, Hino revealed a handful of new information about the upcoming Inazuma Eleven Ares, the newest game in the Inazuma Eleven soccer RPG series. The game is set to release after the start of the Inazuma Eleven Ares anime series.

Although the Inazuma Eleven series was originally intended for children, the developers are including more enjoyable features for older fans. Hino feels that Inazuma Eleven Ares has the potential to become as popular as Yo-Kai Watch (another series developed by Level-5) and hopes that everyone will play the new game. With the way development is progressing, players will be able to feel that they are truly playing a soccer game. The series' longtime feature of scouting players for your team will return and you will be able to scout players from the teams you have defeated.

It was decided that the game's scale was becoming too much for the Nintendo 3DS to handle, so the new game will be on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. In addition, Level-5 decided to support as wide a range of platforms as possible so that more people will get the chance to play the game. The game will also be supporting smartphones due to the needs of the current generation, though there will  likely be some differences in game design between the console and smartphone releases of the game.

Hino would like the game to have many different new features, including the ability to take screenshots. All assets the game is using are brand new, and there is a new player-related system that has not appeared in previous entries.

Inazuma Eleven Ares is slated for a Summer 2018 release in Japan for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android. At this time, it is currently unknown if the game will have an official release outside of Japan.

During the latest Inazuma Walker broadcast, Level-5 revealed a new gameplay trailer for Inazuma Eleven Ares, the next game in their strategic soccer RPG series, Inazuma Eleven.

Additionally, the new anime series of the same name and based on the game was announced to premiere globally on April 6, 2018.

Inazuma Eleven Ares will launch for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android in Summer 2018 in Japan. It is currently unknown if the game will release outside of Japan.

If the game does release outside of Japan, it will be the first in the series to release in Europe since the two-version game, Inazuma Eleven GO Chrono Stones: Wildfire and Inazuma Eleven GO Chrono Stones: Thunderflash, which released on March 27, 2015. It would also be the first in the series to release in North America since the enhanced Nintendo 3DS version of Inazuma Eleven, which released on the Nintendo 3DS eShop on February 13, 2014, and at this time is the only game in the series to see a North American release.

If Inazuma Eleven Ares doesn't see a release outside of Japan, interested fans will still be able to play the game due to both the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch being region-free, although it would likely only have Japanese language support.
