Hay Day Guides: The Different Crops Farmers Can Grow

A simple guide to Hay Day crops!

Farming on Hay Day requires a long day in order to plant and harvest all the crops you can grow. Being a virtual farmer requires patience and knowledge to grow all the available crops successfully for a profit.

Hay Day farmers can plant 21 different crops on their land. Each is worth a certain amount of coins when sold at the market and takes a specific amount of time to grow to maturity. Generally, each crop requires a previously harvested crop of the same type to plant in the ground.

Hay Day crops are also used in different products you make on the farm and farmers receive a certain number of experience points for growing and harvesting each type of crop.

Below we talk about each of the 21 different crops Hay Day farmers can grow on their farms.

Wheat

  • Hay Day farmers can start growing and harvesting wheat at level 1
  • Takes two minutes of game time to grow to maturity
  • Great for farming experience points
  • 1 experience point awarded per harvest

Corn

  • Hay Day corn is a crop farmers can grow at level 2
  • Takes 5 minutes of game time to reach maturity
  • Used in the production of 8 items
  • 1 experience point awarded

Carrots

  • Carrots can be grown starting at level 9
  • Takes 10 minutes of game time to grow to maturity
  • Hay Day farmers gain 2 experience points per harvest
  • Used to produce 7 different items
  • Sold for 1-7 coins in market

Soybean

  • Hay Day farmers can starting growing soybean at level 5
  • Takes 20 minutes to grow to maturity
  • Receive 2 experience points per harvest
  • Farmers receive 3 soybean at start of level 5
  • Used to produce 4 different items

Sugarcane

  • Hay Day farmers can begin farming sugarcane at level 7
  • Takes 30 minutes to grow to maturity
  • Used in the production of 3 items
  • Receive 3 experience points per harvest

Indigo

  • Begin farming indigo at level 13
  • Takes 2 hours to grow to maturity
  • Hay Day farmers receive 5 experience points per harvest
  • Sold for 1-25 coins in market
  • Can be used to make two different items

Pumpkin

  • Hay Day farmers can begin growing pumpkin at level 15
  • Takes 3 hours to grow to maturity
  • Gain 6 experience points per harvest
  • Can produce 2 items using pumpkin

Chili Pepper

  • Hay Day farmers can start growing at level 25
  • Takes 4 hours to grow to maturity
  • Receive 7 experience per harvest
  • Used in production of 6 items

Tomatoes

  • Hay Day can begin growing at level 30
  • Takes 6 hours to grow to maturity
  • Receive 8 experience points per harvest
  • Used in production of 7 items

Strawberries

  • Begin growing at level 34
  • Takes 8 hours to grow to maturity
  • Hay Day farmers receive 10 experience points per harvest
  • Used in the production of 5 items

Apples

  • Hay Day apples are harvested from apple trees on your farm
  • Unlocked at level 15
  • Each apple tree costs 160 coins and can be harvested three times
  • 16 hours to harvest time
  • 7 experience points awarded per harvest
  • Used in production of 4 items

Raspberries

  • Hay Day raspberries are harvested from raspberry bushes
  • Each raspberry bush costs 220 coins and can be harvested 4 times
  • Begin farming at level 19
  • Takes 18 hours to grow to maturity
  • 9 experience points awarded per harvest

Cherries

  • Hay Day cherries can be grown starting at level 22
  • Takes 28 hours to grow to maturity
  • Grown on cherry trees
  • 4 different products can be made using cherries
  • 13 experience awarded per harvest

Blackberry

  • Blackberry can be grown starting at level 26
  • Takes 36 hours to grow to maturity
  • Brown on blackberry bushes
  • Hay Day farmers receive 16 experience per harvest
  • Used in production of 3 items

Cacao

  • Hay Day farmers can start growing at level 36
  • Takes 34 hours to grow to maturity
  • Grown on Cacao trees
  • 16 experience per harvest
  • 7 different items can be produced

Coffee Beans

  • Hay Day farmers start growing at level 42
  • 24 hours to grow to maturity
  • Grown on coffee bushes
  • Receive 12 experience per harvest
  • 4 different items can be produced

Potatoes

  • Hay Day farmers can start growing potatoes at level 35
  • Takes 3 hours and 40 minutes to grow to maturity
  • 7 experience points her harvest
  • 7 different items can be made using potatoes

Hay Day Rice

  • Start growing at level 56
  • Takes 45 minutes to grow to maturity
  • 3 experience per harvest
  • 3 items can be produced

Lettuce

  • Hay Day farmers can start growing lettuce at level 58
  • Takes 3 hours and 30 minutes to grow
  • 7 experience per harvest
  • 6 different items can be made

Lemons

  • Lemons can be grown starting at level 66
  • Takes 1 day and 5 hours to grow
  • Hay Day farmers gain 18 experience per harvest
  • Grown on lemon tree
  • Only lemon curd can be made using lemons

Olives

  • Can start growing at level 57
  • 24 hours to grow to maturity
  • Harvested from olive trees
  • 2 items can be made using olives
  • Olive trees can be harvested up to 3 times
  • Hay Day farmers receive 17 experience per harvest

    Plant slow growing expensive crops while you sleep or go out. Olives, berries and cherries seem the most popular. Oh cacao too.
    Wanted to know the actual profit on the trees, after planting costs.
