Console commands are super useful for making certain gameplay sections or mechanics easier. But unfortunately, if you played Wolfenstein: The New Order and wanted to use the old console commands in Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus, you’ll be up Nazi creek without a paddle — they don’t work in Bethesda’s newest installment to the franchise.
The console options in Wolfenstein 2 are strictly limited and don’t include such fan-favorite commands like “god mode” or “invisible” commands. However, there are still several useful console commands in The New Colossus.
How to Activate Console Commands in Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus
Console commands are active by default in Wolfenstein 2, so you only need to press the “~” (tilde key) on your keyboard during gameplay. That will bring the console up on your screen.
- If you want to see the list of all available commands, then type “listCmds“
- If you want to see the list of all available console variables, then type “listCvars“
Using Console Variables to Fix Mouse Sensitivity
The mouse sensitivity option in the Wolfenstein‘s menu is bugged and doesn’t work as intended. However, you can fix that with a console command.
Use the following console command formula to adjust your mouse sensitivity:
- “m_yaw = 360 / X / 3 / Y”
- “m_pitch = 360 / X / 3 / Y”
“X” equals how many inches of mouse travel you want.
“Y” equals your current mouse DPI.
Alternatively, you can try the ““m_sensitivity” command, but many users have reported that it doesn’t work.
How to Toggle HUD Through Console
If you want to bind a certain key to show or hide the HUD during gameplay, then use the following commands:
- bind “X” “g_showhud 0”
- bind “Y” “g_showhud 1”
“X” equals the key that hides the HUD.
“Y” equals the key that shows the HUD.
How to Skip Wolfenstein’s Intro Without Confirmation
- Right-click on Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus in your Steam library, and choose “Properties.”
- In the new window, choose “Set launch options” (under the “General” tab)
- In the launch options, enter ”+com_skipBootSequence 1 +com_skipKeyPressOnLoadScreens 1” and press OK.
