How to Farm Harmony Shards in Lost Ark

Clear North Vern Resonance Dungeon

Lost Ark players have access to a number of chaos dungeons in the game that provide players with some seriously good rewards. But there is only one dungeon that actually grants you Harmony Shards on each of the four tiers, and that is North Vern Resonance dungeon.

Follow these steps, if you want to unlock North Vern Resonance dungeon in Lost Ark:

  1. Complete the “Ealyn’s Request” main quest
  2. Reach at least Level 50 for your character
  3. Enter the first tier at North Vern, using:
    • Party Finder menu
    • Town Shrines
  4. Each dungeon tier requires your gear to have the following ranks:
    • Tier 1: 250
    • Tier 2: 340
    • Tier 3: 380
    • Tier 4: 420

You can also clear all other dungeons on both Normal and Hard modes, but these will grant you Harmony Shards only at the very end of each run.

Also, when you’re done with both runs of the dungeons, you can keep doing so in order to get Purification Fragments, which can be exchanged for Harmony Shards.

Clear Island Quests

Islands become available as soon as you hit gear Level 250, which shouldn’t be hard, if you have already unlocked your first dungeon.

While traveling around islands and completing the quests, you will be rewarded with enough Harmony Shards to bring your total gear rank to Level 300.

However, it is important to keep in mind the following two rules while engaging in island quests:

  • Never accept quests that require you to leave islands
  • Clear islands in this specific order for best results:
    1. Serenity Isle
    2. Toto Silver Island
    3. Freedom Isle
    4. Blackfang’s Den
    5. Lullaby Island
    6. Astella
    7. Starlight Isle
    8. Panda Island
    9. Peyto Island
    10. Dreamgull Island
    11. Golden Wave Island
    12. White Wave Island
    13. Kalthertz
    14. Shadow Island

Join a Guild

It doesn’t matter which guild you decide to join, but do so. If you have eight friends playing together, then you can create your own guild already. If you want to create a guild and you still don’t have enough members, then you can recruit them at this subreddit.

Either way, once you’re in a guild, you need to follow these steps in order to acquire Harmony Shards in Lost Ark:

  1. Donate 6,000 Silver to your guild every day
  2. Complete weekly guild quests
  3. Level up Silmael Bloodstone shop to Tier 2
  4. Exchange Bloodstones to Harmony Shards once a week at the Silmael shop, which can be found in every big city

Trade With a Merchant Ship

There is a special merchant ship, which can sell some Harmony Shards in exchange for Pirate Coins.

This vessel is called “Tea and Libra Guild Vessel“, and you can find it in one of the following harbors:

  • Turtle Island
  • Forpe Island
  • Estella Island
  • Ocean Paradise Payto

If you’re wondering where you can get Pirate Coins, then here is a list of islands where you can earn them by completing quests:

  • Lullaby Island
  • Giant Mushroom Island
  • Runaways Island
  • Golden Wave Island
  • Sublime Island
  • Peyto and Glacier Isle
  • Freedom Isle
  • Blackfang’s Den
  • Kalthertz
  • Atropos
  • Cradle of the Sea Fermata

Complete Shadespire Tower

One of the most lucrative ways of earning Harmony Shards, but also one of the most time-consuming ones, is to progress through the 50 floors of the Shadespire Tower, which becomes available in the endgame.

However, in order to farm Harmony Shards in the Shadespire Tower, players need to create an alternate character. It is important to follow through with the first run of the tower on your alternate character, and do the second run on your main character.

This is necessary, because the tower rewards you with character-related items that increase your skills and stats the first time around. When you decide to run it the second time, it will give you other things, including lots of Harmony Shards. That’s why it’s important to run it again on your main character to collect all those shards.

If you clear all 50 floors of the Shadespire Tower on your second run with your main character, you will be able to earn up to 20,000 Harmony Shards.
