The Best Ship Weapons in Everspace 2

Technically, there are no “best Everspace 2 ship weapons” since each type has a particular function that should serve you well in dogfights. As such, we suggest bringing different kinds so you can swap when necessary. However, here are some good picks based on general scenarios:

  • Scatter Gun: This weapon is great for close-range dogfights.
  • Beam Laser: Best for medium-range engagements.
  • Rail Gun: Perfect for hitting distance ships before they can engage you.

Everspace 2 is an RPG looter-shooter. That means the higher your level, the better the chance of acquiring items of higher rarity.

Craftable weapons have the following rarities:

  • Common (white)
  • Uncommon (green)
  • Rare (blue)
  • Superior (pink).

A higher rarity means better stats and additional passive boons. For example, superior items have three perks.

Primary weapons are those with unlimited ammo, but they require a bit of energy. Secondary weapons have limited projectiles/charges and are to be used sparingly. These, as well as consumables, are equipped via the Inventory menu.

Weapons can drop from enemy ships that you destroy, be picked up from containers that you can loot, or crafted via the menu if you have the required materials.

Armaments can be given a Catalyst, which provides additional boosts, though replacing one with another will cause the previous Catalyst to be destroyed.
