Where to Find a Razor Claw in Pokemon Legends Arceus

The easiest way to obtain a Razor Claw is to visit the Outpost Trader in Jubilife Village. They can be exchanged for 1,400 Merit Points (MP). You can acquire MP by finding lost Satchels during your expeditions.

Razor Claws can sometimes be found in Space-Time Distortions as well. A wild Sneasel also has a 10% chance of having one. You need to catch the Sneasel to check.

Hisuian Sneasels can be found in the following locations:

  • Coronet Highlands (Celestica Trail and Primeval Grotto)
  • Alabaster Icelands (Avalugg’s Legacy and Glacier Terrace)

Johtonian Sneasels can seldom be found during Space-Time Distortions in Obsidian Fieldlands.

How to Evolve Sneasel

To evolve Hisuian Sneasel into Sneasler, give it the Razor Claw during the day. Johtonian Sneasel will evolve into Weavile when given Razor Claw during the night. Open your bag, select the item, and use it on Sneasel to trigger the evolution.

Which Sneasel Evolution is Better: Sneasler or Weavile?

While both have the same stats relatively, Sneasler is arguably better than Weavile simply due to typing. As a Poison/Fighting-type Pokemon, Sneasler is only weak to three types: Ground, Flying, and Psychic. However, it’s strong against six: Grass, Fighting, Poison, Bug, Rock, and Dark.

Weavile is more of a specialized Pokémon. It’s strong against three rare types: Ice, Ghost, and Dark. However, it’s weak against six—including Fire and Fighting, which are common types. You can build Weavile for competitions, but Sneasler is a much better Pokemon to bring around Hisui. For more on Pokemon Legends Arceus, head over to our guides hub.
