Aether Gazer: S-Tier Modifiers

Ablaze Tyr

  • Damage: Light
  • Combat: Melee

Tyr wields a massive greatsword that is capable of dealing 240% damage to a single target. But when he uses his Ending skill, this damage is increased to 960%, making him the most powerful melee combatant in the game. That’s the main reason why I chose him as the top character on our list.

His most versatile set of skills includes: Sword of Rook and Sword of Queen. The first one allows Tyr to teleport to the location of the sword, eventually dealing 800% damage. While the latter one turns your sword into a ranged weapon that can be thrown at the target, dealing the same amount of Light damage.

Rahu Asura

  • Damage: Fire
  • Combat: Ranged

Having a powerful single-target melee attacker in your team is great, but what every team also needs is a powerful AoE damage dealer, and that’s where Asura fills the niche perfectly. I was especially impressed by her Fire and Brimstone skill, which burns all enemies for 840%, and at the same time reduces all their fire resistances by 30%.

But she also possesses some really flexible skills, including Fire Warp (Enhanced), which slashes through all enemies in a linear fashion dealing 440% damage, and Blazing Fist, which launches a series of attacks either on a single enemy or an entire group, dealing 400% Fire damage.

Aether Gazer: A-Tier Modifiers

Shinri Tsukuyomi

  • Damage: Thunder
  • Combat: Melee

Many Aether Gazer players consider Tsukuyomi one of if not the best modifier in the game. But in my opinion, her set of skills is rather limited, although definitely powerful. For example, her Thunderclap ability deals 840% damage to a single target and enables allies deal extra 30% Thunder damage for 10 seconds. You’ll have to synergize her with other Thunder modifiers for more efficient gameplay.

What makes Tsukuyomi really interesting is her Enetering Zero Time dodge ability, which slows all enemy movements for a few seconds, letting you avoid a lot of damage.

Jin-Ei Kuninotokotachi

  • Damage: Physical
  • Combat: Melee

Jin-Ei is a very unusual attacker, who has a pretty good physical AoE attack using her Shinobigatana weapon. But mostly, her skills are rather scattered making her not the most focused combatant in the game.

One particular skill that I would like to point out is her ultimate Truth and Nothingness. It allows her to spread out damage across all enemies, using different types of damage, depending on what type of attack you choose: Physical, Thunder, or Fire. Regardless of the chosen attack, the damage dealt is equal to 860%.

Aether Gazer: B-Tier Modifiers

Ryugiri Kagutsuchi

  • Damage: Fire
  • Combat: Melee

Kagutsuchi has one of the richest attack pools amongst all other modifiers in Aether Gazer. But as I noticed, all of his attacks have low damage except one: Ashen Destruction. This one deals 860% Fire damage in an AoE, and increases Fire damage of all his allies by 30%.

All of his other attacks rarely go beyond 350% damage, which is rather weak in comparison to other modifiers, although the diversity of these attacks definitely makes him an interesting choice.

Arctic Abyss Poseidon

  • Damage: Ice
  • Combat: Ranged

Poseidon is a hard character to crack! She’s got huge potential, although uncovering all those layers and mastering her would be a real chore. But if you like complex modifiers, then definitely check her out.

She has plenty of elaborate skills, and when it comes to sheer damage, then there’s two main standouts: Silver Frost and Frosty Starfall. The first one deals 700% Ice damage to a single target, and the second one deal 840% Ice damage to a single target, plus reduces the cooldown of one of your first two skills.

Airgetlam Nuadha

  • Damage: Fire
  • Combat: Melee

Nuadha is very similar to Kagutsuchi in terms that he’s a one-trick pony, but that trick is very strong. His skill pool is also more limited, making him even less flexible.

His best attack is Ground Blast, which needs to be charged to achieve maximum effect. But once it’s fully charged, Nuadha can unleash a colossal explosion that deals 1100% Fire damage to all affected enemies. Good to have for that one final blow at the end!
